About this house rental

Kyoto aquarium museum within walking distance ""Kiyomori no Meihana""
We can walk to Umekoji Park, where there is a trace of Nishihachijo which is a mansion of Hekimonome.

It is 1 station by JR until the main [Kyoto station]. The ride time is 3 minutes.

There is a convenience store open 24 hours on foot 5 minutes (400 m), so it is very convenient.

Why do not you take a break in your private garden full of Japanese trends?
The unit bath wash basin was renewed at the end of 2017!

A scarce gyoen garden, an inn with an edge. While watching the garden court slowly on the rim side, please enjoy Japanese sweets, Matcha etc.
Please do experience the wonderful Japanese traditional building that you can not experience in other inns.

Nice renovated traditional house, 1 JR train stop near Kyoto station. Very clean, convenient. Improvements: 1. please remove the wood planks that shrinks the entrance for no reason. It's ugly and literally 50 cm wide: if you're fat, you cannot pass through the doorway and enter the house. 2. Change plastic tableware for ceramic, microwave smells burn, maybe add an induction cooker. Overall nice place to stay in Kyoto.

The house is conveniently located, close to the JR station and there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There is also a 100-year-old stationery store close by, which we really enjoyed. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and it was very neat to be able to show our kids a more traditional, old-style Japanese house. We were disappointed that there was no tatami, however, as it appears there has been a recent renovation, and more disappointed that the rules asked guests not to cook in the kitchen, as we typically attempt to off-set the cost of travel by cooking our own meals. Finally, my husband and I are both in our 40s, but both found the bottom mattress of the futon too thin for comfort. The price and location are great, but unless you are used to "sleeping rough", camping and sleeping on the ground, or bringing your own foamie or air mattress, this may be a consideration.
