The Sankara Suites and Villas

The hotel room was much bigger than expected. We had the pool suite, and the moment the doors to the room opened we were amazed. It was like a mini apartment. We had an extra child bed in the room but it still was very spacious. The staff said this is a brand new hotel and you could see it as everything looked amazing. From the swimming pool to the jacuzzi, the amazing breakfast to order in the morning to the absolutely fabulous and amazing staff that made our stay more than pleasant. I have nothing but positivity for this hotel and it's staff. It's a hidden gem that many people yet haven't discovered. Wow wow wow. Thank you to Adi who checked us in 11pm when we arrived and was there to check us out 3 days later at 12pm. Thank you to yogi who made our final night at the hotel restaurant meal very special with his service. Thank you everyone at Anumana de suite. Please do not get this confused with Anumana hotel which has a similar name.

The rooms are enormous, comfy beds and clean. The location is great if you are happy to be outside of Ubud town (which I was). It’s quiet and only a short trip into town. Walking distance to some lovely cafes and Rendezvous Fitness which was a big plus for me. Drinking water was also replaced daily which was amazing. Very short walk to Circle K. It’s a beautiful setting, lovely pool area for relaxing and very peaceful.

The service was just a bit inconsistent. Face and hand towels were not replaced once used. Towels were not provided at the gym and the ones at the pool were clean but they were old, worn and stained. Turndown was completed two nights but not others, again, these are not major issues but surprising as the staff were so lovely and wanting to please.

One of the BEST hotels I’ve stayed at. The location, the suites layout and the restaurant were amazing. Especially the staff that made our experience memorable, they were attentive to every detail: super thankful to them.

Amazing setting in the jungle with beautiful decorations as you entered and walk around the hotel. The food was good too, lovely staff. Just wished the rooms were better maintained.

The noise, there was work all during the day next to the room and people moving chairs at all hours of the morning. Unfortunately we was on the bottom floor which the noises seem to seep through too. Didn’t sleep much because it sounded like Chewbakka attacking you at 3am. The smell in the room is a big problem, really damp smell that sticks on your clothes when you leave.
