Loved the peaceful location, surrounded by woods midway between the Loire and the Cher so lots of places to visit with 10 - 30 minutes drive: recommend Montrichard, Pontlevoy, Amboise.
Loved the character of the house. Bedrooms were large and comfortable.
Picnic table directly outside was lovely for dining and breakfasting.
Our hosts were lovely, even bringing in our washing when it rained while we were out.
Lack of proper oven - our fault for not reading the details properly. The 3 burner induction hob worked well for cooking for 4 but suspect it would be hard to feed 8 from such a tiny kitchen. Otherwise well equipped.
Internet coverage was good throughout the gite but dropped out occasionally.
Showering in the downstairs wet room was a little cramped and needed mopping up after use but lots of hot water.
Hadn't quite appreciated how close the other gites were. That said our neighbours were all considerate during our visit.
