Brodie Cottage

The exterior needs to be tidied up a bit but the interior is spotlessly clean and there’s everything you need for a comfortable stay. All the rooms are very comfortable and very fit for purpose. We mainly had bad weather but it was a pleasure to come “home” to the cottage. Loved being there.

The main problem is the location. Aspatria has obviously seen better days and there are limited amenities although we met some lovely local people particularly in the Letters Inn pub. You definitely need transport to visit the lakes etc. Slight confusion with the address on the Booking.com advert. It’s no. 9 Lawson Street not 55 and there’s no sign to say it’s called Brodie Cottage.

Having stayed before we knew this was a clean comfy house & well equipped.

Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped and very pleasant place to stay.

Couldn't get into the property at first, as no code for the key box was provided. Contacted property twice through booking.com about a change in arrival time but no response received. Luckily a kind neighbour across the street spotted our dilemma and helped us get in. Also, the site should provide a house number and street name...no full address is given, which also isn't very helpful.

It was lovely and clean ( well looked after) , hot powerful showers !👌 kitchen had everything you needed , beds were comfortable

Parking wise ! Had to park down the road 👎 train track just behind the property not ideal if your working nights !
