The Croft Bungalow

Absolutely everything!

I was looking for a property to suit my elderly mum who's blind and The Croft Bungalow was the perfect choice. The spacious, single floor layout was uncluttered but homely, safe and it had all the amenities we needed. The beds are super comfy, fans were provided for two of the three bedrooms which was much needed in the heatwave, the lounge is spacious with three sofas to choose from and the outside seating area afforded stunning views of Scotland. The bathroom is also spacious with a lovely walk in shower and the kitchen is well laid out to allow meal preparation and eating. The hosts are friendly and helpful and keep the house and gardens well maintained. The fish pond is a lovely feature. The location was perfect for seeing our friends and family who live there, our regular trips to Carlisle and also for sightseeing. Keswick and Cockermouth are within easy driving distance and we would highly recommend a visit to Lowther Castle.

There wasn't anything we didn't like for our stay however if we were a family with children a dishwasher would be helpful and a fan for the third bedroom. I couldn't find the off road parking which I would have preferred to do but I was happy to leave my car on the road as it wasn't busy and the locals also did so. Perhaps a bit more information in the guest book such as what to do when checking out but honestly these are minor details.
