Reed Cottage

It was a good base for our stay, it was quiet and comfortable. Enclosed garden peace of mind while the dog was out there.

Very small drive way for parking, but this was mentioned at booking, I just didn’t realise how small, wasn’t too big of an issue as we managed to find a car park free of charge and left my car there. The property is tired and needs a good clean I understand it’s dog friendly but went to do some laundry and the washing machine was full of dog hair. The stairs are extremely steep my son actually fell down the bruising and grazing his back and legs.

First impressions online and in person were good.

It seemed to be a little tired and in need of some attention in places. Kitchen floor, bathroom floor, crockery and cutlery and only one tea towel. salt and pepper not found and no vinegar. The rubbish collection was an issue, it was never collected and no food recycling. Is this usual. Some prior notice about the steepness of the stairs would have been helpful, Parking was an issue as my car over hangs the front boundary a little and because we never new when the rubbish truck was coming I had to park in the public car parks elsewhere and walk.
