The emphasis is on the bar, its a pleasant room, but the noise from the bar keeps you awake

The location is great, a short work to the beach, the Bar is great and the the owner is friendly.

The noise from the bar downstairs was a little too much for me, it was difficult to get a good nights sleep. The emphasis is on the bar which is a great bar with a good atmosphere.

Cheaper to book direct.

Bed was comfy,and the property was walking distance to most things including bar and a couple of small supermarkets. Easy to park on the road outside for free and it is easy to find from the motorway. Toiletries and good hairdryer provided. We didn't use it but for anyone thinking of going to the area the public buses are free and they run along the road past the jolly Roger.

Needed to close the windows as quite a bit of street noise unfortunately there was no fan or air con so it was uncomfortably warm for us. (We were aware the pub was lively so noise was not unexpected)). The prices listed on the wall in the pub are significantly less than we paid for them through booking.com. The room unfortunately smelt of smoke ...possibly coming in through the window from pub smokers underneath,and I would also say it smelt of dogs but they don't advertise as allowing pets..We were aware there was no breakfast available and did not see any other food advertised in the pub. There were shops nearby but no access to a microwave in the hotel. A mini fridge in the room particularly during the warmer months might have been a nice gesture.

Woman in charge of the hotel was fantastic! So nice and helpful, especially because I only spoke English. Room was nice and comfy. Bar on the bottom floor of the place is sick!

The property is located near the beach.

There is no food available in-spite of the photos and the night we stayed was a loud disco directly beneath our room until 4 in the morning.

Great unassuming spot near the beach.

Location near the beach is brilliant. Quiet, despite being over a busy pub. Not stuffy, a PROPER pub. Free overnight parking on-street. Best of all was the lovely, friendly, Belgian owner behind the bar. It's a great bar, very reasonably priced, which does great food too. I was wearing a.band tee-shirt and without me even asking, she started playing the band which was brilliant. - for me anyway.

I didn't like that the key was stuck in the lock in our room and the door was knocking from the wind. I had to put the paper down.

Central hotel - basic but clean and comfortable

A very quirky hotel which is really rooms above a bar. Facilities in the room good and we had a huge bathroom.

No parking and no A/C in the room. On main road so quite noisy at times. The bar ran out of red wine! and does not do food although it was inferred that it provided meals.

Comfortable and spacious, great location.

Great location, a short walk from the beach, and easy to find parking nearby. Room was super comfortable, very spacious and beautifully decorated, with lovely big windows and an enormous bathroom. Despite being right above the bar, we were not disturbed at all by any noise from it. On the C3 bus route (Dunkerque buses are free to use) which made it very easy to take a trip up to the Fort des Dunes and back without having to move the car. Plenty of places to eat nearby on the beachfront. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Only a couple of really minor things I would change to make this truly excellent - there was no blind in the bathroom, only frosted glass, which made me a little nervous using it after dark. And the coffee machine was too much - a kettle would be much simpler to use. Otherwise, perfect!

Friendly, good value Hotel

The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathrooms were huge, with toiletries etc. There was a bar below, but they had soundproofed the rooms so you couldn't hear a thing. It was in easy reach of the beach and parking was free.

very noisy! you can hear everything, from the pub downstairs to the neighbours shower. Every stair creek & door move! no breakfast either so not great value for money.

Great value for money in a really good location - friendly staff a bonus!

Unfortunately I didn't get his name but the barman who checked us in was super friendly and helpful all smiles and great hospitality. The rooms were lovely, great value for money. We got the two rooms on the top floor which where basically interconnecting with a little hallway in between, great for us who with 2 children. Big rooms and bathrooms, especially the one with the bath tub. Also in a great location, close to the beach but off the busy area. The heat was insane when we arrived as well but the rooms were actually pretty cool even though they don't have AC.

Our only "complaint" would be the noise levels coming from the street and other guests. This is however not unexpected but I think you should be aware of this.

nice stay/ great location if you like the ocean

the location is good, it takes about 3 minutes to walk to the seaside, and there are many good restaurants there, i enjoyed a nice sunset. there is coffee machine in the room and they provides the capsule coffee and chocolate which is very sweet. the staff was helpful and the room is quite nice with a unique style. there is also a pub downstairs which you can enjoy a bit

most of the stuff is made of wood which is nice but is not very sound-proof:( i can hear people opening the door with keys and footsteps clearly. there is no elevator but not many floors maybe just 2 or 3? check-in only available from 5 p.m. and you cannot put your luggage there beforehand which is not that customer friendly..

Pleasant

Great location, great bar and atmosphere when it did open, good games room.

Check in from 5pm, we arrived at 5.45pm and were asked to go for a 15 minute walk as our room wasn't ready....bearing in mind checkout is at 11am. We came back at 6.15pm and upon arriving to our room, housekeeping was still in there sorting the coffee facilities out. Room wasn't very clean, shelf/bed headboard covered in dust, so much so we wrote 'clean me' in it. Noone around at checkout so we couldn't speak to them about our stay. Also, we chose this hotel due to the quirky bar, yet again upon arrival we were told it wasn't opening until the next day due to a festival the day before. We feel we should've been informed. Plug sockets dangerous, not fixed to wall in bedroom, simply wedged in the 'stretched fabric' lining the walls.

Very good

Comfortable small hotel on top of a bar with great atmosphere and theme. Free street parking outside hotel, perfect if you travel by car. Only 30 min to Eurotunnel. Hotel had limited food choices but barmaid recommended a very nice local restaurant within 2 min walking distance, great food and compatible prices.
