About this cottage rental
Located on beautiful South Lake Leelanau, our cozy cottage offers an outstanding family location only steps away from the water. Our cottage has two bedrooms (one queen and one double/twin bunk), one full bathroom, full kitchen and living/dining area. The cottage was fully updated in 2017. We are situated on the beautiful eastern shore of South Lake Leelanau inside West Wind Resort, a wonderful resort on 3.5 acres of secluded property with over 400 feet of waterfront. Each cottage is individually owned and operated and rental options may vary. It's the perfect get-a-way for that dream fishing trip, honeymoon escape or family summer vacation. Our cottage #3 offers 500 square feet of very comfortable living space with fully furnished bedrooms, updated bathroom and shower, living area and a fully functional kitchen. Step outside on to your own patio equipped with seating, picnic table and gas grill. A gazebo awaits you just steps from your patio as well as use of several fire pits on the property. The cottage offers it's own boat dock (allowing up to 22' boat, including motor and platform), two car parking, parking for your boat trailer, private beach for the resort and a playground for the kids.
Spend the day boating, swimming and visiting all of the sites the greater Traverse City and Leelanau County has to offer. Then sit back and enjoy breathtaking sunset views in the evening, followed by a family gathering around the fire, enjoying smores, star gazing and friendly conversation.
A fisherman's paradise, Lake Leelanau offers some of the best fishing in northern Michigan, including Northern Pike, Walleyes, Bass, Perch, Bluegill and even Brown Trout. Then prepare those filets at the fish cleaning shed located within the resort.
Get ready for a wonderful vacation.

We enjoyed our time overlooking the lake in the evening and cooling down in the Lake with a glass of wine after a long day exploring the area.
Beautiful setting, sunsets and walking to morning fog misting over the trees and lake!!
Your home was clean easy and cozy. Just would ask that you put info on your site regarding our own bedding and towels to be brought.
I returned from a biz trip the night before to gather bedding and towels for this vaca trip out the next morning. Had I known I would have had things prepared prior. Other than that a wonderful time and place to relax

Steve's and Sue's cottage #3 was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed our week at the cottage and would definetly stay there again. The Beach and the surrounding property was very well maintained.

Great location on the lake. Beautiful sunset view! Nice little beach, fire pits and seating areas. Close to wineries and not a far drive to TC.

• Clean but bathroom had earwigs every day
• Has a dock for boats, however, needs to be dredged!!!! Our 18ft boat got stuck along with jet skis in the mud and sand a couple of times.
• This cottage sat in front of the beach and a lot of foot traffic through our rental property from other renters (Community)
• Only 4 fire pits for 9 cabins to share

• Other owners of cabins were there somewhere friendly some were not
• Beach was nice but had lots of shells and everyone got swimmers itch due to the amount of ducks around the property.
If you like sharing your property with “community” this is great. If you prefer a little bit more privacy I would suggest another location! Just felt like you were always being watched be others. Very cute cabin just wish it was on its own property, also a lot of amenities in the cabin.
