Old cottage, isolated and quiet

It is a remote location, total darkness at night, perfect to watch night sky. All the basic stuff you need - is there. It's not luxury, but it was perfect for us. Carefully on the stairs, especially when dark 🤷🏼‍♀️

Look elsewhere

I knew we would be paying a premium to stay in the area this weekend as there was a big cycle sportif on. With paying that price I expect some minimum standards, this house did not meet those minimum standards. The house is quaint from the outside, but inside it is dated and run down. There is a musty smell throughout, there was a smell of vomit in the kitchen. The showers were not fit for purpose. We unplugged an unlabeled plug in the kitchen (to plug in another appliance) and this killed the water supply. This plug should be labelled considering it enables such an important role. For 5 adults for 2 nights there were 2 toilet rolls and no spare. There was a sign in the kitchen asking us to bring our rubbish away with us when leaving. Having paid what we paid to stay in this property this is unacceptable. Checkout is 10AM, as it happens we were leaving at 08.30, and as we were pulling out, the owner was pulling in..this is a little early to be rousing people given that they dont need to be gone until 10:00.

nice place and a lovely experience but very rural it’d be ropy enough in the winter..

it was comfortable and quiet and very rural and a proper country cottage

the owner was not very approachable and wasn’t very hospitable about having the dog, where it said on the listing that a dog would be welcome. the owner was there at 9am and we felt very pressurised about getting the house emptied as it said we had to leave at 10am which I thought was a bit too early when check in is at 3-4pm we ended up having to take 2 bin liners off our rubbish with us as we weren’t able to go to buy the bags in the designated shop to dispose of the rubbish, also there was very little loo roll < 1/2 a roll provided and had to go and buy more.

Musty smell, very very cold despite being 23 degrees outside. No welcome basket. Very bare house, not comfortable, rather dated and in need of TLC

Ein Segen für uns! So viel Ruhe und Frieden und Naturschauspiele vorm Fenster!

Es war etwas ganz besonderes, in so einem alten irischen Cottage zu übernachten! Ein bisschen wurde man in die alte Zeit versetzt. Der offene Kamin (mit geliefertem Torf und Holz) war ein Traum - und jeden Früh der Sonnenaufgang direkt vorm Frühstückstisch... Und dass uns der Vermieter am Ende - in einer Notlage - so entgegenkam, werden wir nie vergessen!

Cottage typique et reculé

La sympathie du propriétaire L emplacement, à l écart de tout, c est très calme. Bien équipé de lave vaisselle, lave linge, sèche linge Situation idéale pour visiter le ring of kerry Un lever près des moutons... En restant calme, vous pouvez observer des animaux sauvages (lièvres...) Il n y a pas de wifi et c est très bien pour les vacances.

Nach kurzer Eingewöhnungsphase habe wir uns doch in diesem Cottage sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir hatten ein Cottage mit Selbstverpflegung.

Die Dusche hätte etwas mehr Wasser liefern können. Das Geschirr war für 5 Personen gering bemessen. Einige Geräte gehören erneuert.
