AVOID if possible!!!
The house is gorgeous and the location is fine -a small bit outside Kenmare.
Attempting to extort additional money for gas for a 2 night stay!! The issue is that the management company (Trident) tried to charge for gas bills (even though they had already charged for 'utilities'). Also it is advertised as 'heating' being one of the facilities. At this rate they will start charging for access to the garden. This was a disgusting level of extortion and we had to fight and argue (with our friendly on-site host) for the first night and following day to refuse to pay Gas bills. I was told charging for gas and electricity is 'normal' in Ireland. I am from Ireland and live here and travel regularly and have never experienced anything like this anywhere!!! Outrageous and greedy behaviour from the owners in attempting to extort money for bills for a 2 night stay. Avoid at all costs!!!

property is expensive to start with and a 3 day charge of €60 for gas heating is excessive.

The host, Helga was very friendly and helpful. She had a welcome pack (a huge box of chocolate) waiting for us when we arrived. The view from the house was magnificent and the house itself was very large and spacious.
Small things like Coffee, Tea and Dish-washer tablets were missing but not a big deal as supermarket was only a few minutes drive away. We didn't like paying the cost of gas, electricity and towels separately we think it should have been included in our initial bill like everywhere else. Plates should be replaced as some of them were broken.
