Lovely stay

The hosts had fantastic attention to detail. Very welcoming and relaxed in their home. We can only highly recommend . Location is super only short walk to the village. Had a beautiful breakfast that suited all tastes. Room was warm, cosy and very clean . Excellent hosts and lovely place to stay.

An excellent stay in the countryside.

A lovely house out in the countryside. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful and nicely cooked. Our hostess was very friendly and happy to share her knowledge. Plenty of space for parking.

Great stay on the Ring of Kerry

Fergal was an excellent host. He is friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He provided us with great recommendations from restaurants to off the beaten path locations for us to visit. The house and grounds are lovely. It’s an easy walk or drive to nearby restaurants.

Our favorite B&B stay during our vacation!

Our stay at Alaind was lovely! Even though we ended up checking in several hours ahead of our communicated arrival time, our host let us in early and got us settled in. With their encouragement, they directed us to walk down to the village for dinner (make sure you RSVP ahead of time for dinner!), then an exploration of the village. The night sky was gorgeous and the view from our room allowed us to star gaze as we drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, the view included the neighbor's ponies and birdsong! Our hosts provided a hot breakfast and a lovely chat about our Ireland tourist plans and then sent us on our way for further adventures.

Breakfast was good. My request for gluten-free bread was fulfilled.

The bed in room 4 was not comfortable and there was noise from downstairs which made it difficult to sleep.

Very restful and quiet location within a few minutes drive of Sneem.

Breakfast was very good. Hot food was cooked to order. Individual kilner jars of fresh fruit was a nice addition. Trish and Chris were excellent hosts.

The room was perfect. Good idea that you can choose breakfast on the previous night. The host are very kind. Quiet location, room was immaculate, hot wonderful shower what we liked the most. They provide shampoo too. We will come back for sure

Loveley country home along the Ring of Kerry

Everything was lovely! If you want to stay with locals and like nature then you should definitely check this place out. They even offer hiking tours! The breakfast was freshly cooked and prepared with care . Tea and coffee was available. The rooms were clean and nice and they even had a hair dryer. There is parking in the front of the house. If you want to have dinner or a couple of pints you should check out the pink bar in the village close by (can’t miss it). I would definitely stay here again and it’s a great first stop if you want to do the King or Kerry

Great stay!

My stay was brief but perfect. The communication with the host was flawless and timely. My ensuite room (#1) was nice, warmly decorated, with a decent size TV, hairdryer and toiletries. The breakfast, which is to be chosen night before (which I think is a great idea as saves time and resources) was freshly cooked and tasty. Private car par at the rear of the property was a handy addition. Unsurprisingly, it was soooo super-quiet overnight.

It was a bit cold in the room when I arrived, but it improved within 15-20 minutes. Wi-Fi can be temperamental, but hey; it is in a wilderness, and you are supposed to explore - not sit on LinkedIn.

Very pleasant location and accommodation

Álaind Lodges is situated in a wonderfully quiet area on the outskirts of the village of Sneem. Our bedroom was downstairs with an en-suite bathroom; the shower was excellent. Fergal is a very amiable and knowledgeable host, who can offer many suggestions for things to see and do, especially within the Ring of Kerry. Breakfast was tasty and served with a smile. We enjoyed our stay and hope to revisit...

Great for walkers. Lovely location.

This is a good B&B with a nice breakfast, made excellent by the owner Fergal who is very knowledgeable of walking routes in the local and wider area and was willing to spend a lot of time talking through options. He is also a friendly guy! There is a nice common room with walking books and maps to help plan routes. The location lovely and quiet, surrounded by nature and just an easy walk into Sneem. Ahead of our arrival we were sent a detailed set of information about directions, dining, pubs, walking routes which went down very nicely. We certainly felt well cared for.

Not a problem for us but would handy to take a torch if walking to/from the village centre in the dark.
