Beautiful Cabins and Incredible Hospitality

Norwegian Wild has been the most incredible start to our honeymoon in Senja. From the moment we arrived, you could feel how much heart has gone into this place. Hege, the owner, is one of the warmest people you could meet. We did the winter kayaking tour with her and it was a true highlight. She is so knowledgeable about the area and clearly so proud of what she has created. We stayed in one of the Aurora cabins and it was unreal. Lying in bed watching the stars through the huge windows felt like being outside in nature while still warm and cosy. We even spotted Jupiter from bed. The hot tub was such a special touch. The staff were all fantastic and really made our stay, especially Suzana, who was so welcoming and lovely. And the fish soup was amazing. A truly special place 💙

Peaceful bliss

Blissfully peaceful, whether hiking in the forest, a relaxing sauna, staring at the stars from the jacuzzi or watching the aurora from the cabin. A wonderfully friendly and helpful team with a warm welcome, an exceptional fish soup and super breakfast.

The stay was too short, although I imagine however long you stay it is always too soon to leave.

We love both aurora seaview cabin and the old cabin! Clean toilets and kitchen! Fabulous Nordic breakfast!

Good for the price

Although the facilities are in the separate building, there is a small pantry in the cabin. There are plates, pots and water boiler.

Toilets in the old building was a bit dirty. It would be nice to have a coin exchange machine to exchange coins for shower. If you arrived late and the Cafe is already closed, you need to wait until morning to get the coins to shower. Or bring a few 10 kroners with you for shower.

Lovely cabin

The whole vibe of the place is so soothing, the cabin is cozy with a comfy bed and living room .The kitchen was small but well equipped.They even placed a small water can in the kitchen which was sufficient for one night. The shower and washroom was outside which was not a problem as the place is beautiful and you always want to remain outside for no reason ❣️

The most incredible hotel of our two weeks in Norway. Stay in the seaside cabins!

If there were an 11, I would give it! We rented one of the four seaside facing rooms. They are, in essence, a tiny home that is so well designed and featured. The seaside rooms were pricey but worth every penny! We were extremely fortunate to look out on a million dollar view of the mountains and sea and our stress just melted away. It was extremely quiet inside and very comfortable and we stayed up late just watching the clouds roll by and be very mindful. The breakfast was terrific. Service outstanding. Directly across from the National Park. We spent almost two weeks traveling from Tromso to Reine and this was by far our favorite spot. Kudos to everyone in making this an unforgettable experience. You really did a great job with those rooms and experience!

Great location, right next to the trails to the park, with a view of the water. Amazing breakfast can be bought at the café.

Fridge in the room was a bit noisy at night. But nothing too serious.

Gorgeous views and great staff.

We stayed in one of the Aurora cabins worth our own hot tub. The cabins are new and sparkling clean with stunning views of the fjord. The staff is kind and professional, and the food - especially the fish soup - is exceptional.

My only frustration with the room is the lack of space to put our suitcases and where to hang the damp towels and swimsuits. We made do, but please take this into consideration.

Just beautiful. We will be back!

This is our second stay in The Lighthouse at Norwegian Wild on Senja. It’s very special. The view from all the windows is stunning. The change of tides and movement of the sun means that the outlook is never static - it is constantly changing. Hege was really friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay. We needed some help in the morning and she came straight over to help - always with a huge smile, a hug and a laugh. The cooking facilities in the Lighthouse were handy and it was good to self-cater after eating out so often while traveling. We look forward to our third visit in the future to Norwegian Wild… next time we may try the new bungalows also with views of the fjord and a hot tub!

The property is not close to shops or restaurants - except when the cafe is open in summer months. For us this is an attraction. But be prepared to self-cater or drive to a restaurant.

The stay was excellent and I would highly recommend!

I loved everything about the property. From the very beginning when exchanging emails with the owner it was great! She responded quickly and was very informative. The location was fantastic. We took the ferry and bus from Tromso and the bus stopped right in front of the property and the national park entrance is literally across the street. The views of the water were beautiful and at night we saw vivid northern lights easily without much light pollution. The single room cabins were delightful and definitely worth every penny. They thought of every detail from providing slippers and crocs for the jacuzzi to having a kettle with tea and coffee. I loved the homey feel of the cafe and while menu options were limited there was plenty to keep us well fed. It was also great that you could rent snowshoes from the cafe and then just hop across the street for a gorgeous snowshoe trek. I highly recommend this property for a stay!

An absolutely amazing experience

Our time was amazing- the lighthouse was beautiful and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a highlight each day and Hege went above and beyond to make our stay perfect- she also recommended lots to do around the island and kept guest informed about northern light spotting

Great Place to enjoy a beautiful beach front

It is as good as the pictures showed on the booking page. The place is beautiful, facilities are well equipped , cooking utensils are sufficient. Scenery is amazing. There is peace and tranquility although quite occupied with guests. And the Anderdalen National park is just opposite of the main entrance.

It would be good to add some bowls in the lists of kitchen cutlery and utensils. There is no washing faucet and sink in the room which is a little inconvenient. But not an issue to complain as other more important facilities are well provided.

The view is just so stunning!! I would love to stay a week if I had time.

Everything!! The view in front of the hotel is magnificent! Room is spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is clean and water pressure is good. Dog sledding is wonderful experience! High recommend.

Absolut beautiful place with very friendly staff, but uncomfortable beds.

The location was absolutely stunning. It is in the middle of nowhere. Good to relax and see a beautiful surrounding. The staff there is very polite and always friendly.

The beds were not that comfortable. They could have changed the mattress. You can feel a hole underneath your back because so many people already slept there.

Stayed in the lighthouse but all the other options looked great as well. Accommodation was like a dream come true. We were blown away by the beauty of the area. Saw the aurora from it on both nights. Breakfast was included and it was delicious.

Teeny negative was virtually no clothing storage but we didn’t have fancy stuff to hang up anyways as it was all winter gear.

Camping in the snow, it is fun.

A nice and affordable place to stay. Need to have coin to shower. The new building with showers and kitchen really nice and hot especially in winter. Not a lot of people in December so free to enjoy the campground. Need to order breakfast and have food because the next store is not close by. Nice view.

Idyllic camping site in a natural paradise

The place is idyllic, the cabins are authentic and cute. There’s a little cafe- restaurant -shop which is very handy. The site is engaged with the environment and you can sort your garbage and recicle properly.

I thought the common kitchen was a bit small for so many people and it lacked utensils. It’s a shame they didn’t tell us you could order breakfast the night before. We were not allowed the service in the morning.

Nice way to enjoy the entire

The location is just beautiful, the staff is super friendly and nice. The price is good for a place like that! Also there are sauna near the sea and it is possible to swim for the bravery.

Would be nice to have clear sign about where is the kitchen, public infrastructures and drinkable water. We almost back into someone’s place thinking it looks like a common resting place. Would be nice to have option to get a blackout curtain. It is quite bright in the room, without eye mask it was difficult to sleep

Pleasant

For hiking the place is great. You can just start from the other side of the road. The place is nice and the kitchen was useful.

The offer was unclear. I didn't understand if I book the lighthouse or something else In fact it was a small cabin and not the lighthouse. The bed was too short and a wall at the end so that the feet had not enough space which was really uncomfortable after a long hike.

Good

The location was great. Very quiet and remote. Lots of facilities, fireplaces, seating outside. All we needed for cooking was available. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. The staff was great, the mini restaurant had a great choice of food and snacks. Prices as expected in Norway.

No block out blinds even in the bedrooms. We had to use blankets, towels and clothes to get some decent shut eye, but then the tiny beds where I could not fit at 6 foot 5 and very narrow made sleep nearly impossible. Add to that the hot air because no window was fitted with a mosquito mesh so we could not have any open, both in the day and at "night". We found this very poor, a metre of mesh and a few pins cost nothing.......Lack of sleep was terrible.... By far the worst was the bathroom, as because we could not open the window due to mosquitos and there was no fan there, it all became very humid and smelly at the end of the 4 nights we spent there.

Our cottage was clean and spacious for three adults

The was no wc or shover. A shared toilet was closeby, but shower was farther away and it cost 10kr for four minutes. The total cost for one night with additional cost for linen and towels (and breakfast) was not very cheap.
