Phuket Plage Karon: House / Villa - Phuket - Plage Karon

My husband and I spent 2 incredible weeks in Chiang Mai prior to traveling to Phuket for our final week. We thought we were impressed with the first two weeks, until we (4 adults, no children) arrived at the villa. WOW! We were completely blown away! The property is in a prime location, yet manages to boast both privacy and a local feel. Everything was cleanly, staged beautifully, and provided a welcoming touch that you wouldn’t find at a resort. You can tell the property is lovingly maintained, from the landscaping to the art chosen to display. The host is lovely and communicative, though we interacted most with Kaew, the property manager. Not enough good things could be said to accurately represent her! She went above and beyond for us making sure we had everything we needed, including finding us a comfortable ride to our wedding ceremony. She had great suggestions during our stay, and we looked forward to seeing her sweet dogs loving life whenever we would leave from or return to the villa complex. They were our favorite hellos of the trip! It’s not often you find a vacation rental where it is obvious the staff takes such pride in their work, and we look forward to staying here again in the future. The local business owners are lovely as well, and our group found ourselves making friends with a few. Phuket has always been special to us, and having found our new “home base” for our time there feels great! Highly recommend.

Upon arriving our first impression was this is fantastic, however we changed our mind once we realised that keeping the pool clean was a full time job. There is a frangapani tree over the pool so you are contstanly scooping flowers and leaves out of the pool and gutters. To get from the main living area to the bedrooms is difficult if it is raining as there is no shelter to keep you dry. The spa takes over one hour to fill and it is not worth the effort as the jets dont do much. Also i dont think the property is suitable for small children. In saying all of that Kaew and Chantal went above and beyond to fix the air conditioner in the main bedroom. We couldnt use our room the first night as it was like an oven. Kaew made sure we had a new one put in before sleeping on the second night. Chantal was kind enough to let us stay in the villa after checkout at no additional cost, which we really appreciated this. Kaew was only to eager to help when ever she could. I hope this honest review helps you make an informed decision on booking this villa. The location is fantastic and if you dont mind the things I have mentioned I am sure you will love this villa. Like anything it depends on what matters to you as an individual.

I have recently stayed in the villa for 3 weeks and it was just like home. It has everything you need, just like home. The Villa is beautiful! The pool and outdoor area is amazing and lovely and private .. its like your own little tropical oasis. The villa is large and very well appointed, the bedrooms and bathrooms are large and beautifully decorated. The beds are on the firm side (which i like) but extremely comfortable and I always had a great nights sleep. it is in a very quiet location but only a very short stroll to restaurants and beautiful Karon Beach. I have rebooked the villa for my next trip. Kaew was my host at the property and she is just wonderful and will help you with everything you might need. There is motorbike hire, laundry, restaurants, convenience stores and Chemists all within a 1 minute walk from the villa. this really is an amazing villa for an extended stay ... Its so good I have already booked my next scuba diving holiday and have rebooked the villa. Thank you Chantal and Kaew for an amazing holiday experience and beautiful Villa. Villa Leelawadee is a very nice villa to stay. It´s quit residence and within 1 minute you are in the centre of Karon. The villa has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It´s also nice that everything is build around the pool. It´s really a loveley place to stay. Also the cleaning is very good. The change for example twice a week your bedlinen. They are also very kindfriendly. You have everything for children, including toys. And on reguest you can have a babysitting on house. The owners organized everything very well, from A till Z. We stayed in a lot of holidayhomes, but this is one of the best. Thank you for everything Chantal and Catherine, you do a very good job!
