Mixed emotions

The food was really decent across all meals. The bed was comfy. The location and the beach - super nice.

The facilities are questionable for a 5 star hotel: there was no hot water during the peak shower times and the staff pretended to be surprised about it (we also discussed it with some other guests, they had the same situation). Our room was in the restaurant building and right in front of our window there was a huge kitchen ventilator, so we basically couldn’t hear anything except for that. The staff is uneven: some people are outstanding, others even a bit rude.

October Stay - few days.

Everything - highly recommend. Quite a quick turnaround time to get us to our room. Booked via the app for a reservation at the italian restaurant around sunset. Really good food all round and good service with the drinks too. Due to rain, we found us watching TV in our room - really good set up and it felt quite comfortable

Recently rennovated, and looks nice. Shame it doesnt live up to its looks. Not a 5star resort!

Nice renovation. But the services are not at the level you pay for/expect. Coruna Buffet Restaurant - Food was really good. Good variety everyday, options and plenty of choice. Nafts - Breakfast service was 5star, dinner was really poor. Twice we had big managers dining and the show put on and diversion of staff from serving paying customer was embarrassing.

Coruna Buffet Restaurant - They have an impressive wine list, shame no one knows anything about it, and they just bring you whatever wine they have open. The second you question something, they have to ask the manager who usual has some excuse as to why it wasnt available. Beach - Complete lack of Sun beds. Those that are there are all cramped in and not ordered/spaced in what you would ezxpect from even a 3 star hotel. There are still new, unopened sunbeds and umbrellas piled up on the beach - it looks like a storage room. Beach is open access, so at the weekend you had locals wandering in and taking beds. Phea Beach Bar - Old and badly maintained. Closed at 18, even when in the app says 19. Bridge, broken floor and worn woodwork, not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Boseta Bar - Really slow and disorganised service - Seen outbursts from customer after having waited 40 mins and still not received their drinks. Laru Pool Bar - Awful Sewage smell (that was on most lower levels of the rooms) Staff / Managers - Lack of staff and almost all had not received the training for a 5star structure. Manangers had no idea how to manage staff or people, and where at times quite rude. Other Annoyances - No map of the resort, anywhere. You had to ask to get around. Poor welcome, services were not explain, in room safe was not explained. Some customers recevied welcome drinks others no - no consistency. Again points to a lack of training. We did not find our stay relaxing. You had to rush to get a beach bed, you had to rush to go to dinner before the buffet closes. Rush up stairs to try and get a table for drinks. Not enjoyable at all. We have stayed at numerous all inclusives and this was by far the worst.

Nice, beautiful location but I expected way better customer service.

It's a beautiful location and a nice looking hotel. The buffet was nice. The views are also stunning.

We booked a junior suite for 2 people. When we arrived we were told the room wasn't ready yet and that we would receive a phone call once it was ready. We never received a call, we went to check ourselves at the reception and then they told us the room was already ready. There were some issues with the electricty due to a storm on the previous day and the first day we kept experiencing outages. The staff wasn't really that friendly or accomodating. We just had to deal with it. The suite was quite small for the price you pay. There is a smoke detector right above the bed that keeps flickering the whole night ruining your sleep. There was a ticking sound in the room when you turn off the AC. We could hear people talk really loud in the corridor. We booked a boat trip with the hotel, that would take the whole day but they just don't give a lot of details or a document with all the details. It was too overpriced and again the customer service was not what it should be for this kind of places. I went to another Ella Resort in Rhodes and the customer service was amazing. One other thing there are a lot of wasps in this area,so you can't sit outside and enjoy your food. There is not really an easy way to get around for a nice walk since you have to keep going uphill/downhill.

Perfect

First of all we would like to thank everyone working at this great hotel for an awesome time there. Everything about our stay was perfect - the room, the food, the service - everything. The rooms are very clean and we the cleaning staff is so nice and friendly! Not only the room, but the hotel and everything around the hotel was so clean, they were cleaning all day long! The rooms, the hotel facilities, around the pool, at the beach bar, even the toilets at the beach were all day long clean. They are truly doing an amazing job! The food was amazing, great variety everyday for every meal, everything was just delicious (it‘s actually the first time for me during a holiday that I didn‘t have any stomach issues - the food was really fresh). The cocktails were great, high quality cocktails and very pretty looking. Very skilled bartenders. The people working at the restaurant are really engaged and they try their best to keep everyone satisfied. The beach is breathtaking, the bar at the beach is great and the older gentleman working at the beach bar is a sunshine, such a nice and hard working man! Everyone from the staff was so friendly and helpful, i really don‘t understand the other reviews where people say that the employees are not friendly - maybe it depends on how you treat them. Just because they are working there doesn’t mean you can treat them poorly and bad. To us everyone was just amazing! Also the problem with the sunbeds is not due to the hotel. Everyday we saw people reserving sunbeds at the beach AND at the pool. 4 ukrainian guests were taking 6 sunbeds at the beach and 4 sunbeds at the pool for one day. That’s 10 sunbeds for 4 people. Another couple (2 people) took 4 sunbeds at the beach while other people didn‘t have any. People just act ridiculous and greedy. The hotel is definitely 5 stars worth, but the guests aren’t unfortunately. They act rude and as if they don‘t have a feeling of common sense.

Stunning location, would love to come back

We had a great time at Alkyna and would love to return. - Food was great , especially the opportunity to dine around the restaurants , desserts were great , really good quality overall - pool and beach area was stunning, clean and we always found a spot - personal was friendly and welcoming

We had a great time but there is some potential of improvement: - add labels with ingredients and allergies for food- this is a must, it was very difficult to understand which dishes are vegetarian, which are gluten free etc - pool time could be extended (closes at 18:00)

There are no signs. It would be helpful if there was a sign in front of the restaurant building as well as the terrace bar. In addition, there was only one restaurant outside of the buffet and it books up so quickly, we didn’t even get a chance to try it! Would be helpful to have more than one restaurant available for visitors to try besides buffet.

Best vacation ever

Staff is amazing, super nice and friendly always smiling and willing to help, drinks and snacks during the day were delightful and well stocked, great pools and atmosphere overall, liked the piano in the mornings

Me and my girlfriend got engaged and told some of the stuff but except congratulating us we got nothing, not too bad because we enjoyed the hotel but I guess I expected something even a little note but it didn't happen.. also the resort is huge we needed a bit more long explanations about it, there were places i discovered only on my last day

absolutely amazing! I would stay forever

The staff were amazing! So polite and kind. The resort is absolutely beautiful with an amazing beach right there. The room was super clean and the bed was amazing and comfortable. Me and my partner were so amazed by this resort and how much we want to go back. The food was absolutely amazing too.

When we arrived and checked in, we were so pleased, no matter where I stay I check the bed and there was sand in our bed. The staff were amazing!! Immediately so apologetic and sent the cleaners up to change all the bed linens! I was so happy.

Really poor customer service at the start. No one gave us an introduction when we arrived early and didn’t notify us that room was ready. Our first room stunk of sewage, and the staff seemed to think it would be fine for us to still stay in that room which was frankly ridiculous. Once we kicked up a fuss with the senior manager we were relocated to a clean room and from there the stay was excellent. Not the initial service/experience you expect of a 5* hotel. There was a smell of sewage at other areas of the resort too. Not enough sunbeds.

Perfect getaway

Everything was perfect — from the hotel's design and the amazing sea views to the helpfulness of the staff. The food was also delicious! Getting to the various buildings, pools, and the beach can be a bit challenging, but we were able to take advantage of the buggies to get around.

You need to get to the pool or beach very early to secure a lounge chair, as other hotel guests tend to reserve them quickly — often by leaving their towels on them. But I suppose this is common practice at most all-inclusive resorts. The sea water was a bit cold (visited end of June)

Relaxing week with incredible views in a very well-run resort.

The redeveloped resort is more amazing than it was before and the staff are incredibly attentive and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and the decor is beautiful. The selection at the buffet is broad and caters for all food interests. The check-in staff were very helpful and the drinks menu is long and the bar staff use premium branded spirits in cocktails.

The booking system for the fine-around a la carte could be changed so that you have more flexibility as we found it difficult to make a booking from the day we arrived. The loungers are gone early in the morning, perhaps some additional loungers could be put out to cater for the number of guests when at max capacity. The water pressure in the shower was very average.

Its our 3rd time here, we really like the location - views, sunsets, beach, all the “green”. The food is diverse and very good , this time we had “All Inclusive” package and really appreciated the quality of the Lunch food offering & cocktails. The two new Restaurants are a great addition - liked the “a la carte” menus and wines. The room now has a very large TV screen (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) and the beds/pillows are very comfortable. The staff is very very nice, always helpful and supportive. The new gym is very well equipped, has an amazing view - one of the best gyms we ever experienced in a hotel.

We had a top floor room, on the corner of the building, and it got really hot - in the evening with air conditioning off it went to 32 celsius in 15 minutes. The air conditioning system had an issue - could not be set to higher than 24, hence it was really unpleasant to leave it open over night. You also cannot adjust where the air flow goes and you dont have a remote control to use it from the bed. It was fixed in our 4th day, but had 3 unpleasent nights. The reception staff didnt offer any options for us , always with the repeated answer :”we are sorry, we are fully booked, next person?” - same exact answer we got at Marriot Dome in Corfu last year. This is very concerning , as for the future trips if we get the wrong room, this rigidity in providing support would greatly decrease our experience. There should always be some solution - even if it takes 1-2 days and planning on your side - there are people leaving the hotel every day.

Wonderful Resort in Absolute Paradise

The resort was absolutely beautiful, in a stunning location. We had an incredible time just relaxing by the pool or wandering down to the beach. The bars and restaurants were wonderful too, the live music on the rooftop at sunset made our stay particularly special.

As the hotel was recently re-opened after renovations, there were bound to be some teething issues, so it is my hope that these issues will be resolved for future guests. That being said, the service was particularly an issue - with the hotel being understaffed (bars and restaurants service was slow and inconsistent). The other issue that became frustrating during our stay was the lack of pool/beach chairs - while there are many, there are not enough for everyone staying at the resort and there were constant issues finding somewhere to sit most days, with many guests going down at 7am to reserve chairs or cabanas and then holding them all day even if they were not there.

Property has great potential. There are a few teething problems as it is so new but on the whole we loved it

The beach bar wasn’t open. It is quite high in the hills so lots of steps and steep paths so is not suitable for the less mobile. However the staff were very helpful and provided lifts in electric carts.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to fully experience the hotel as it had just opened and many of the facilities weren’t ready. We only stayed for a short time and had a lunch that was quite disappointing. We were then relocated to another hotel. The staff tried to be helpful, but the overall experience was frustrating, especially after a long trip.

We were not informed in advance that it was the hotel’s opening day. We arrived to celebrate a special occasion, only to find that most facilities weren’t operating – the pools were closed, the spa wasn’t available, and only 1 out of 6–8 restaurants was open. It felt like the hotel simply wasn’t ready to welcome guests. We were very disappointed, especially because we chose this resort based on a great experience at another hotel from the same chain.

Amazing views !

The views are amazing. Wide variety of food choices. The fully inclusive package is fantastic, all top brands. We stayed in a junior suite, it was a really good size. I think I would upgrade to a swim up room next time, I did get room envy :))))

there are some bad reviews from " LA GROTTA VERDE" here in booking.com that made me to hesitate a bit in beginning to book this hotel and i think they have to be deleted and add new reviews because hotel is new opened in 01May2025, and we was one of first guests in hotel

Horrible! Were never going back

The view was very nice, but the hole experience with them was horrible

The whole hotel was under construction, and our room wasn't finished: there was no cold water, only super hot. The phone didn't work, and there was no hand soap or shampoo/conditioner. We were three in the room, but there were only two towels to shower with. We asked for sheets for the sofabed, and they never brought them. The sofa bed was still with all the wrapping plastics. Overall, it was the worst experience.

The views from the hotel were immaculate. The hotel architecture is beautiful. Most of the staff were kind and helpful

Firstly upon arrival I was informed that the hotel was under construction and waited in the lobby for 3 hours. I was informed that I had two options, either to get a full refund and stay for free or be moved to a different hotel. I chose to stay as that was my original plan. My refund is yet to be processed. After 3 hours , I was allocated a room which with a wet floor. Most of the staff were dismissive and quite rude in the reception area. The waiters in the main restaurant and caduna bar were however lovely. Second day, rotten fruits were delivered to my room with a welcome card. The hotel was not ready to accept staff and probably required a month or two to accommodate guests . The food options were also quite limited especially breakfast . Overall, I’m very disappointed with Ella Resorts. Shocking treatment to a loyal customer
