Nice position on the beach. Great pool area with bar. Breakfast is excelent( signiture of the hotel) with many station like eggs, salads, cheese, greek pastry… including salmon and Champagne
Room ( suite)really faraway from the beach and breakfast venue! Very low level of houskeeping! If you ask for any ( like new towels) you never get it even you call front desk several times!

The sea and views were stunning, with an excellent spot for swimming and snorkelling. The older part of the hotel, located by the seafront, appeared to have been recently renovated to a very high standard and gave the impression of a true 5-star property. The newer section, however, is across the road and connected by an underpass. While this makes crossing safe, it requires using lifts or stairs, then walking up a steep hill to reach the entrance. Staff also use golf carts to transport guests with luggage across.
Breakfast was a highlight thanks to Anna at the omelette station, who was always cheerful and made the best omelettes, as well as the young blonde hostess with the American accent, who greeted everyone warmly. The sommelier stood out too—knowledgeable, professional, and a real credit to the hotel.
The room did not match the description on Booking.com. Instead of what was much smaller than what was advertised. The biggest disappointment was the so-called “private outdoor area.” Our Pavilion Retreat Waterfront (201) had a connecting door to the neighbours, with their chairs and umbrella barely a metre away. When new guests arrived, they sat right next to us with no regard for privacy. The hotel’s “solution” was to build a wooden fence, which blocked our view. Housekeeping was poor—the room went uncleaned for two days of our seven-day stay, and the mini-fridge was never restocked despite requests. The hotel closes at midnight, leaving only soggy refrigerated wraps (chicken or salmon) for late arrivals or anyone hungry after hours. Calls to reception or concierge went unanswered, and we had to use our mobiles to get through. At breakfast, staff looked exhausted and unmotivated, and we constantly had to chase for coffee, juice, or water. The grounds were full of wasps—around the restaurants, sunbeds, and gardens—making it stressful to sit outside. Staff burned coffee to keep them away, which was ineffective. Back in the room, the bed had a deep hollow on one side, and we had to request that the mattress be rotated. Although the room was renovated, the mattress and furniture were dated. Communication before arrival was equally poor. Despite paying £1,077 per night, Booking.com listed no breakfast, though the description mentioned HLS half-board. A week before arrival, I messaged the hotel for restaurant and yacht bookings. Messages and emails went unanswered until I called, only to be told unapologetically that they ignore Booking.com messages. Even then, it took reminders to receive a list of restaurants—all outside the hotel. No one mentioned our half-board entitlement until day three. When we tried to book, reception insisted everything was full, yet Evelina managed to secure tables—and when we arrived, plenty of seats were empty.

The staff was so incredible. Everyone took such effort to make sure I was having a perfect experience. I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade as well. Makris fine dining was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.
The info about the restaurants in the book in the room wasn’t quite right. Said Raw bar started at 6:30 but it didn’t until 7. I had planned a cocktail and a sushi bite before dinner but even when I ordered the sushi at 7 it took almost 40 minutes to come so was quite rushed.

The accommodation and the staff was amazing, beyond 5 star… nothing to add.
Nothing, the other hotels should learn from them.

Overpriced food and drinks on occasion

Staff were very helpful
The pool bar closing at 6pm is inconvenient and the fact that the main restaurant was not available each evening was very annoying. The room service was either not available at all or very very slow.

Staff tried very hard ( Camilla in particular ) to do everything we requested
Lack of privacy… with people constantly walking across the front of the pavillion

The hotel is absolutely stunning g set on the beachfront with rooms across the road too that have the best sea view. The staff are fantastic and can’t do enough for you. Always friendly and polite. The breakfast was delicious with a large international buffet to cover everyone’s taste. We stayed in an opal suit with a hot tub. The room was very big and the bed was so comfortable. Both pools are crystal clear and refreshingly cool. I had a massage in the Soma spa by Nicoletta which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Even at full capacity the hotel never feels full. The cherry on the cake for me as a huge animal lover are the two hotel cats, mother and daughter CC and Valhala who stroll around the hotel like celebrities. I would definitely go back again.

Amazing beach, welcoming staff, lovely room right on the beach, great location!
5.0 / 10.0
The resort itself was fabulous. The private beach and pools were lovely and the rooms were always kept very clean.
Myself and my partner unfortunately found that the staff were very slow and a bit too laid back. Although they were nice people, they lacked the efficiency that was expected of a 5 star resort. We were often kept waiting at breakfast time for our coffees, and then if inquired about our order, it would still take a long time for them to come back to us. It seemed that they would forget things quite easily, which again didn't meet the standards of 5 star service. Also with regards to drinks at the bar and at dinner, it seemed that the staff didn't quite communicate with each other very well. Some staff said that they had particular drinks and other said that they were out of stock which was slightly confusing.
Another thing that we did notice was that the entertainment (music played by instrumentalists) although very nice, it was only in the afternoon, there was no other entertainment acts on in the evening time which was a bit disappointing. Another thing was that the fitness classes and other activities that were outlined on a daily basis were not free and you had to pay an extra fee if you wanted to join in. For the price that we paid for our hotel, we stayed on two occasions..we would have expected it to be included in our stay. Overall we had a nice time, but the main issue was the slow service and lack of training with the waiting staff, and considering there was a lot of staff manning the place, we would have expected more attention to detail that one would usually get in a 5 star resort.

It is a lovely hotel
The food is lovely
It is a very quiet hotel
Views from the beach and your room are amazing
Reception is lovely and enhances the quiet atmosphere
It is a couple dominate resort which would be ideal for couples compared to a larger group
I would recommend this hotel but only as a couple -
- You have to book a time slot into each restaurant on site a day in advance to hopefully get a good time and aren't guaranteed a good time
- It'd be good if the staff were better trained to prepare for opening. On more then one occasion during our stay there was miscommunication/ items not arriving/ items being charged and not arriving/ food coming 90 minutes after we ordered.
- For the price we paid it'd be good to something as a welcome gift (The mini bar free then any restock being charged) an evening meal on night on the room
- On check-in we were asked to put money on the room (for drinks/meals etc) it'd be great to have the option to do this or not
- It'd be good if security is enhanced as anyone could walk into the resort and there's meant to be private beach. Could be a key card system installed or keyboard system to exit and entre
- All activities are chargeable i.e Pilates etc. For the price you are paying for the hotel you should be getting these for free or a discounted price
- We did get offered a welcome drink but doesn't match up to the value paid against the room
- Rooms are very expensive in line with what's offered in the room
- There was constant gold buggies and taxis outside the hotel. It'd be great to have a hotel operated bus service at particular times to bring you too and from Corfu town i.e. leave a 10am and collected again at 6ish etc and so on.
On the website there a boat on offer to bring you in and out of Corfu town. We were told on checkin that it is currently under maintenance. I would've thought there would be backups to allow for the maintenance and during our stay boats were constantly docking for the night or two
- A city tax was collected from the money we had on account for drinks/food for the room etc when we checked out. We were not made aware of a city tax until checkout and convinced it was taking with them knowing there is money there to take it from

Lovely setting right on the seashore
My complaint was handled very well by a guest relations member of staff.
Overall slow service and lack of adequate staff training to provide a service expected at a 5* hotel.. Quality of dinner in main restaurant was poor. Very tired and well worn towels and bath robes

Amazing hotel, the facilities, rooms, pools are exceptional. Staff really make the stay memorable as they are so friendly and polite. Good location, close to airport and the old town to visit easily by car. Very private hotel, you dont notice even when at capacity.
My aircond broke down one night but i was given a fan and it was fixed the next morning, no big deal.

The hotel is wonderful. Staff are welcoming and very friendly and the setting is truly sublime. You can't beat the view and we felt completely relaxed from day 1! We loved it so much we have been two years in a row...
Reserving a table at the onsite restaurants at a time that suits you can be a little tricky and at times we found the service to be a little slow.

The aircon could have worked, there could have been enough sunloungers or pool space

Beautiful setting. The servers, housekeeping and porters were all great. Good breakfast buffet.
The management is struggling. There was so much miscommunication and confusion. It was constant and negatively impacted the quality of our stay. We couldn’t have our simple but important questions answered (like what meals were included with our suite). Seems like the most basic of questions but literally every manager told us something different. Every day we had different amenities available to us despite buying an upgraded room with the ‘haute living’ package (which is such a sham it’s comical). It was nuts.
The facilities also need some work. Lots of little things that on their own are trivial but add up to a less than five star resort.

Clean and by the beach
Part of the hotel that's not by the beach. The website is really confusing when you're booking so you're not sure which section of the hotel you're booking

We had to cancel our reservation due to urgent hospitalisation .
Process of cancellation was a nightmare.Staff demonstrated a complete lack of empathy. Customer service was terrible- had to email and call more than 7 times to get a representative and they NEVER called or emailed back. We fully understand that hotels have a defined cancellation policy but customer care should be significantly better in hotels that want to aspire to a luxury denomination. Cannot comment on their premises but after the way we were treated I will never consider to use their services in the future!

Magical setting in an ancient olive grove on the beach. Wonderful staff, stunning swimming pools and delicious menu at the 1962 restaurant
Can’t think of anything

Location is great, the hotel is clean and beautiful, the staff are smiley and helpful.
- The bathroom towels are old/ragged and sometimes have stains despite being cleaned.
- We had a sewage smell in our bathroom
- This is a Corfuan 5-star hotel, not an international 5-star hotel; it is a matter of expectations. For example, the fine dining restaurant didn't have a sommelier; the music was the same in all the hotel and all the restaurants; based on local interpretation in Greek, you won't always get what's on the room service menu (happened to us). This is minor but a matter of expectation of a 5-star hotel.
- Hard to explain the cost paid vs. the above, but then, its August and its Corfu :)

The hotel design is beautiful, the private beach and the pools were amazing, the room was very comfi.
The only thing that was a little bit bothering was the walk from the rooms to the other side of the hotel, where you need to use some elevators and stairs.

The part of the hotel on the beach. Beautiful, comfortable, a great view on the opposing Epirus coast, crystal clear sea, great bar and restaurant. Though modern it is furnished with taste, and responds to Mediterranean environment and culture. Local art and products are exposed, a massive olive tree is centered in the hall. The beach is beautiful, as the swimming pool. Both the menus served at the Verde Bar and at the 1926 Restaurant were good, we particulartly appreciated the Greek Salad at the Verde Bar. The wine list is quite complete, and we appreciated local wines, even if the pricing was frankly too high. Coming from Italy we do know the price of wines in restaurants ad hotels. The stay on the beach was comfortable and relaxing, we found what we needed. Unfortunately we have had a problem and had to leave before time in urgency. My wife's dad has been hospitalized during our stay and the situation is dire. We were obviously not in the mood to continue our holiday and so decided to cut our stay, leaving on Friday instead of Sunday. The staff helped us to sort things out. The room fulfilled our expectations, even if it was located in the other part of the hotel.
The other part of the hotel beyond the road. Difficult to reach, oversized, empty, a little bit spooky. Two swimming pools, a restaurant, a spa, hardly saw anyone there apart from someone from the staff. Too much nude concrete, too modern and minimalist for a Mediterranean resort, too big, too square, too long and too empty corridors. The same care and taste we appreciated in the part of the hotel on the beach did not seem to be applied to the upper part. At the entrance of the building there was a flow of water on the tar pavement coming from the irrigation system of the flowerbeds. The flow is continuous and mosses or algae proliferate making it slippery, particularly on high heels. The two parts are joined by a tunnel served by two lifts, the recorded voice in the lifts announces "Ground Floor" and "First Floor" or "Doors are Opening" and "Doors are Closing" in Greek and English very loudly. It is pretty evident there are only two levels, it seems a waste of time. It took us time to understand that the room was in the "do not disturb" mode and that we had to press a button to allow the cleaners in. We were not told at the reception. My wife is intolerant to lactose, no lactose free dairy products were available, but most of all the staff didn't seem to know the difference between intolerance to lactose and allergy to gluten.

The original hotel area is fantastic. The breakfast options are extensive.
There is a significant new extension added to the hotel that is across the road and away from the sea which has increased room numbers by >50%. We stayed here and and whilst it is a good fit-out, this fact was not suitably advertised and it is not clear that the hotel is no longer a boutique hotel. The road is a bit of an eyesore. For a five-star hotel the breakfast was a buffet and not waiter service. Given the volume of guests the breakfast dining room was messy at times, although the staff were attentive.

Being right on the water. Great location from Corfu old town and easy to get to. Amazing rooms
Not much!
