3rd time remains a charm. Our 3rd stay at Mountain Getaway. Us and another couple enjoyed our stay. Home was clean upon arrival. Meet our our needs. Allowing pets a plus. The pups enjoyed the stay as well. Hope to go back for a 4th trip. Love the area as well.

We initially rented this house because it has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a king-sized bed. The two upstairs bedrooms each have two queen beds, so there was plenty of room for us and our adult children. The house was fully equipped, we just brought our food and clothing. Everything was clean and the beds were fresh. The hot tub was spotless! We really enjoyed the fireplace (plenty of wood provided!) and the outdoor firepit for hot dogs and s'mores. The location is more private than it seems since there are houses nearby, but the landscaping keeps them mostly out of sight. The leaves were gorgeous and the weather was so nice and cool! We enjoyed the nearby Owl Market and the Almost Heaven mini golf in Davis. There is also a very convenient Shop'N'Save in Davis where you can pick up anything you've forgotten. And, of course, the proximity to Canaan Valley Lodge and Blackwater Falls provides other amenities to enjoy!

Four couples meet up at this house to escape & enjoy a WV Nature trip.The location was a perfect meeting spot to relax during the evenings & the hot tub was very spacious & clean. This vacation property is very close to many of West Virginia’s top tourist spots. I would highly recommend.

Mountain Getaway was a beautiful vacation home. It was fully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed for a longer stay. Beautifully decorated and freshly painted outside- the pictures do not do this home justice. Even though there are other houses near, you still feel secluded in the large backyard with a fire pit that isn’t pictured. If you’re traveling with a large group Bear Retreat is very close by, with only one home in between that made it perfect for us to still spend time together. We loved that our dogs were also welcome to come enjoy our trip as well. We will certainly be back!
