Just a mile from Timberline Ski Resort and Canaan Valley State Park, Ski & Golf Resort, it’s perfect for hiking, skiing, or relaxing by the firepit. Enjoy modern comforts in a rustic setting—your ideal mountain escape. Nestled inside the Monongahela National Forest by Dolly Sods Wilderness, adventure awaits!

Nestled in the Monongahela National Forest along the Appalachian Highway, Canaan Valley is home to popular attractions like Timberline Ski Resort, Canaan Valley State Park, Blackwater Falls, and Dolly Sods Wilderness. The nearby town of Davis, WV offers outdoor adventures, while Thomas boasts artisanal shops, galleries, and venues along the scenic Thomas Riverwalk.
Black Diamond sits in a private neighborhood, offering plenty of privacy and stunning views. While all roads are paved, snow conditions can be challenging in this ski town, so a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended.
Our community prides itself on being accessible and welcoming to all guests. That's why there are no access restrictions when entering the community. You can feel free to bring your own vehicle, as our parking lot can accommodate up to 4 vehicles. As you make your way into the community, you will encounter a paved hill that leads up to Vista Circle. It's a small street and can get icy during winter so 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended.
We want all of our guests to have a smooth and stress-free arrival experience, so we have ensured that our roads are well-maintained and easily navigable. You can focus on enjoying the beautiful surroundings and all that our neighborhood has to offer, without worrying about challenging roads or access restrictions.
Black Diamond is the perfect vacation getaway for families and friends, offering plenty of space for multiple groups to enjoy privacy and comfort. This newly constructed cabin features 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, ensuring everyone has room to relax.
The main level showcases a 30+ ft ceiling with stunning views of Canaan Valley State Park. The open-concept living area flows seamlessly into a well-equipped kitchen and dining space. The primary bedroom, located on the main level, includes a king-sized bed and an en-suite bath. Upstairs, two more spacious bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, share a full bath.
The wraparound porch invites you to fire up the gas grill and pizza oven, while the lower covered patio features a gas fireplace and breathtaking views. Relax in the hot tub under the sparkling lights, or head to the basement for entertainment with a large-screen TV and games. Bedroom 4 offers an oversized parent’s room, while Bedroom 5 has 2 triple bunk beds for kids. A Jack & Jill bath with double vanity completes this level.
For added relaxation, enjoy the hot tub & gas fireplace on the basement patio. Blaze away with Solo Stove Firepit with Adirondacks!

Most people tend to drive to get to their destinations as public transportations are far in between. During high seasons (summer and winter) some Uber and Lyft are available but not consistent.

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and had so many special touches that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The layout was open and spacious, giving our whole family plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together without ever feeling crowded.Every detail felt thoughtfully prepared, and it truly made the weekend feel special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to gather and celebrate such an important milestone. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house and really enjoyed our trip. Although the windy night was a bit bothersome, overall it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be bringing our friends here soon.There is a great photo to share, we can see milk way over this property.

My family and I stayed here at the Black Diamond the beginning of October and what an amazing week we had there! The house, accommodations, appliances, outside touches, were all perfection. Every room was so nicely decorated and it felt like home the moment we walked in. Brian was so helpful with booking and communicating while we were there, and everything went so smoothly. The house is also a great location for all the activities around. We will definitely be back!!!
