Relaxing and Cosy

It is the third time we spend time at Arbanasky Han (once in the Main building and twice in the villa). Good breakfast, cosy and comfortable rooms, good food and friendly personel. The acces to the tourist area is easy (providing you are traveling by car). Very close to Tsarevetz citadel in Veliko Tarnovo (10 min by car) and Bircho Kiro cave (30 min by car) the place of the oldest homo sapiens remains in Europe, and Etar (1h by car) (an amazing village museum with local crafts and sell points as well as a restaurant). Highly recommend as base for exploring the area and having a nice and relaxing time.

cleaning staff simply didn’t take the job seriously - making up beds but zero cleaning of bathroom or taking out obviously overflowing trash. no soap or shampoo provided upon arrival or refreshed daily.

Lovely Anniversary stay at Villa Arbanashki Han

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Arbanashki Han to celebrate our anniversary. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, offering a good amount of space and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was clean, well-maintained, and ideally located near both the pool and restaurant. What really stood out to us was the service. Dido went out of his way to help us when there was a mix-up with our room allocation upon arrival. He quickly resolved the issue, made sure we were happy with the new room, and even swapped the keys for us. In the restaurant, he struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space, and his food recommendations were spot-on. The food at the restaurant was also a highlight—especially the turbot, which was excellent, and the tiramisu—oh, the tiramisu—was simply divine! A perfect end to a wonderful meal. We also enjoyed spending time in the peaceful gardens, especially near our room where we could sit with a coffee and watch the sun rise. It was a lovely, quiet spot to start the day. Breakfast was another highlight, with delicious watermelon and freshly cooked mekitsi. Overall, Arbanashki Villa offers a great setting for a peaceful, romantic getaway. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Great stay, again

We liked it very much, this is our 2nd time here and it was as nice as the first time. Clean, comfortable and we really appreciate having the sauna. We like the quiet place, great pool and the view is very nice.

Great location and facilities

Amazing location. 10 minutes drive from Veliko Taranovo old city. Great fringe windows. We were upgraded to a roo. With a sauna which was very nice.

Room has an adjoining room with a door separation. We could hear the neighbors. The room is right next to the lobby to the Italian restaurant. It gets noisy in the evening and privacy is therefore not perfect.

Clean and neat, delicious food, good atmosphere.

The villa is very clean, the breakfast was delicious. We loved that it was so calm and peaceful. The vast terrace was a great place for board games and watching TV.

It’s not written that the spa is not included, we had to ask later in the property. And the breakfast hours are not also written anywhere.

The property is beautiful - all green and spacious

The service at the property was very poor and the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. During the 5 night stay - the room wasn’t cleaned and I had to ask every day for someone to at least throw the garbage.

Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, clean.

The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, there are private parking spaces near the property, and there is a view of the city of Veliko Tarnovo. From the location to the city center of Veliko, it takes approximately 10 minutes by car or a 1-hour hike.

In terms of cleanliness, there is room for improvement. I found a few spots in the room that were missed when dusting. However, overall it is okay.

Nice place

The location was very nice, up on a hill.

We could not find a free table to eat, we asked to order in the room and they have said it’s not possible. They made a compromise and they prepared a pizza for us to have in the room.

Winter stopover Arbanasi is a bit of romance but not the best choice.

Actually due to the harsh snowstorm from the previous days the access to the villa was blocked, so we were relocated in the main hotel complex under the same name. We were offered as substitute a maisonette apartment with two bathrooms (up for the room with jacuzzi and down in the hall). So the revue is related to this apartment. We liked the fit and finish, the heavy wooden rustic furniture, the politeness of the receptionist, the cook and waiter in the designated restaurant, the food. We were the only guests both in the hotel and during the dinner. The cold snowy beauty of the village.

The maisonette apartment is not comfortable. The hall downstairs is a waste of space and you climb to the bedroom upstairs by means of steep and slippery wooden staircase. The bathroom upstairs is adjacent to the bedroom by means of a big window with blinds strangely operated from the outside (the bedroom) instead from the inside (the bathroom side) as is the obvious logic of privacy. The double bed is sloped on the right side). Walking from the parking to the reception was slippery because of the ice (no salt or sand).

Amazing views

The view, especially from the pool, even if it was too cold outside to use it. Also, our apartment had an amazing terrace, perfect for lazy evenings.

For breakfast you had to go downhill to the main resort and then back uphill on a pretty steep slope. The apartment for 4 guests had only one small bathroom.

It was okay, but it could have been better.

The apartment where we stayed was nicely furnished and comfortable. We had a small compliment - coffee and tea. There are 2 restaurants (offering traditional and Italian cuisine), both serving delicious food. The staff was friendly.

Our apartment was located in Villa Arbanashki Han which is not in the main complex. Breakfast is served in the main complex only so you have to go there on foot (uncomfortable if you are with small kids or a baby buggy as it is very steep). We stayed during a public holiday, there were many guests and breakfast was a nightmare - the breakfast table is at a narrow corner, it was very crowded and hard to get something to eat. Food in the 2 restaurants is delicious. However, the prices are a bit surprising ;) This is the first hotel where I was asked to pay additionally for sauna. (SPA facilities are additionally charged and you need to request them in advance). There is only an outdoor pool which is VERY small and open in the summer only. No receptionist in the so called “villa”. Nobody to welcome you, to guide you to your apartment, nobody to address your requests to.

The breakfast was quite a walk from our room. The restaurant was much more expensive than we expected. Sauna time had to be scheduled in advance.

Superb

We enjoyed the view, the pool, the large rooms and all the attention that was given to the details in matter of design. The staff was very kind. The Bulgarian restaurant offered great options of food.

When we arrived, the pool was only half way full, so that was pretty disappointing for our son. Luckily, overnight they managed to fill it up, but going for a swim was still very challenging since the water was extremely cold. There was mold between the tiles in the shower. I'm sure it can be pretty hard to wipe it away, but I don't think that should be a matter of leave it or not. I mentioned it because it was the first thing I noticed when I entered the bathroom.

Arbanasi trip

The view from the room is wonderful, the staff is kind and polite, the surrounding is very nice with old nut trees and picturesque old houses.

The breakfast was in another building and we were informed after we made the reservation. The breakfast plates were in a small room and it was hard to get to them as there many people waiting. Also the food finishes quickly.

Beautiful outside, mediocre on the inside.

The staff was helpful resolving at least the dirty linen. For the rest I did not bothered as I will not come back ever and was only for one night.

The malodourous room (long term smoking happened in there), the spider web hanging from the ceiling, the dirty sheets and pillows, the 2 flies in the room to keep the spider company and dust all over the floor.

Lovely environment - hotel is set in gardens. Delightful staff. Super room.

Breakfast was very limited - five choices and only one was permitted. I had cereal. No toast or fruit etc was offered, Coffee was cold as was the water for tea. It was a disappointment and not in keeping with the quality of the hotel.
