The accommodation and services were excellent, but the overpriced Christmas dinner was a disaster.

The Christmas dinner, offered at a price of EUR 50 per person, was a disgrace. I’m sorry I can’t use a different word. We received a salad, a slice of bread, cabbage with pork (rib) that was extremely fatty and boiled. For dessert, a biscuit-based sweet. Embarrassing for a Christmas dinner. I will avoid such traps in the future.

Fantastic location with traditional design: wood and stone build provides the warm and cosy feeling. Breakfast is enough rich so no worries for a good start of the day.

In details we can see places where the vacuum cleaning was not well done.

Ok experience

The garden was very nice and also the restaurant was what we needed. Good food, nice athmosphere. All the complex is good organized, the staff helpful, we liked it with an important minus: the bathroom was not clean.

The bathroom was not clean, clearly observable on the toilette. Unfortunately this is a major minus for a 4 stars hotel

Great stay in your way to Greece

The complex is located in a very beautiful village, which beats Velico. The rooms are clean, well-appointed. There is also a swimming pool, not in Arbanasi Han but in Arbanasi Villa, at a short distance of about 200m, in a beautiful courtyard where you also have a bar and a terrace with Italian specialties. It is appreciated that the sun loungers also provide towels and you don't need to carry them yourself. It is also appreciated that there is an electric charging station, with free charging for customers.

The breakfast is relatively ok, for what Arbanasi Han presents itself as, it is very low and the sausages are made of a poor quality paste, as is the salami. Although Bulgaria is famous for its tasty tomatoes, it was not the case at Arbanasi and overall I was left with the impression that the raw material is of poor quality - compared to what is cooked at the a la carte restaurant in the courtyard. I draw this conclusion after staying there 3 times. The food at Arbanasi Villa, with Italian specialties, I can only classify it as classic food, with impressions of an Italian menu.

Well, just a small issue about the breakfast. Due to our travel schedule we were supposed to leave before breakfast hours, so instead we asked for some sandwiches. We were told it is ok, and our fresh sandwiches will be waiting for us in the morning. Well, guess what?! No sandwiches. The nasty stuff was that nothing was available at that time of the day in gas stations either.

A lovely stay in Bulgaria

I did enjoy the room. It had traditional carved rooms. The breakfast was good. The park of the complex is nice to explore during the night.

I liked the hotel.Big room, big bath. Nice garden facility. The water pressure was perfect.The members of the staff were very helpful and nice

Very good place to stay. Recommended!

The rooms are mixture of old, vintage style and new modern things. The whole complex is very green and family friendly. Both restaurants which they hold are amazing. The Italian one is literally like taken from Italy and put there, the Bulgarian one is traditional and very good.

Bear in mind that the spa is not included in the price and you need to pay 20BGN per person to use it.

Everything! It was very clean, comfortable, staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the food was delicious and the garden - a gem in the summer heat + the kids playground was a hit.

The garden is amazing . Full of roses and trees. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food is Bulgarian traditional but very tasty. The rooms are huge and very clean.

Perfect for families with children who prefer quiet rural accommodation

+++a large garden with green grass and lots of trees +++the garden has a lovely playground for kids (there is even a sandbox) which was very good for us, as we traveled with our 2 years old boy +++we were accommodated in a triple room (room number 3 in the old house), a very nice large room, typically decorated for a Han but without an outside balcony and no refrigerator +++free parking for guests of the complex is just next door. +++the SPA center is small but nice. Although on the first day, the staff claimed that SPA was not functional due to a flood, they still managed to give us access and we enjoyed the sauna, steam bath, and jacuzzi. +++I have used their massage facilities as well and I was very satisfied with this service. +++the Italian restaurant at the second location has wonderful food and Italian specialties +++ It's about 5-10 minutes by car from the location to the Tsarevets Fortress, Veliko Turnovo +there is no air conditioning in the old house, we spent 4 nights here beginning of 1st of June and it was not so hot in Arbanassi so we were fine

-we didn’t receive a cleaning of the room on the first day, we speak to the receptionist and he solved this for the next days -the breakfast buffet area is too small for the number of people and even for the staff it was difficult to refill with food and beverages because of the crowding at certain times -the coffee machine has too little capacity compared to the number of people and therefore we had to call very often someone from the staff to clean it, fill it with water or coffee beans.

Complex garden is very nice,, restaurant Primo Gusto was excellent also

There is no AC in the room, just heating. Heating was working every time the windows were closed to the point there were 27 C in the room so you can hardly breathe, let alone sleep. Keeping the windows open was not a solution either since the room was facing a busy and noisy road. Asked for a different room but nothing was available. The only solution was to cut the power in the room... Breakfast could be a bit better
