Bali-like vibes with an Island feel! A boutique experience is in order as soon as you pass through the gate. You are greeted by the canopy covered seating area with a fountain to relax by. Continue walking towards the backyard and enjoy the enchanting vibe that leads you to your room. The beautiful flat deck will indicate to turn left and veer towards your "grill and chill" area. You can immediately sit and take in the shaded sitting area surrounded by timber and black bamboo! Carry on to the left and you'll discover the entry into your comfy dwelling. A mile as the crow flies to the beach and super close to great resturaunts and bars that will appeal to all pallets. Minutes away from Carlsbad Village, Oceanside Pier and harbor. Great food, craft beer and boundless fun with the ocean, beaches and mountains all within a few minutes reach. A SoCal experiences through and through!

Chris is a kind generous host, there when you need him yet fully respects your privacy. When I mentioned that it would be nice to have a little hot plate so we could have eggs for breakfast, he said he doesn’t encourage cooking in the room but he’d bring me the bbq. Next thing I know there’s the bbq and a banquet table with a nice table cloth with bbq utensils, cookware, plates and silverware in the Japanese inspired courtyard!The rooms have comfy cozy beds with soft sheets and off the bathroom there’s a mini, expertly designed corner with a refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, toaster, spices…. He thought of everything! I will definitely stay here anytime I return to the area.

Needed quick n comfy place closer to soccer tournaments and Chris was awesome. Will stay here every time we visit San Diego. Great all around.

Chris was an AMAZING host. He was there when I arrived and even took me to the local store (which was like a family-owned Whole Foods) to get some food after a long flight. The room itself was clean and cozy. The pictures don't do it justice. The patio is super detail oriented, HUGE and relaxing!There's so much greenery and sunlight and cozy places to sit and relax. It's especially great for morning coffee in the sun with the birds.At one point, my grocery bags were delivered by the fence and it started raining, so Chris moved them under cover for me.The location itself is 1 mile from the beach and an adorable beachfront cafe. I loved walking there every morning and taking in the sights, knowing at the end of my walk, the cafe and ocean would be right there waiting for me! There are plenty of sidewalks so the walk is safe.You will NOT find a more hospitable place to stay, and you can't beat the price. I will be back! Thanks, Chris!
