Not impressed at all!

Pros—large room, easy access to freeway

Cons—burn holes in bedspreads and very noisy location on busy intersection. Their site said “breakfast included” but when I checked in, there was a sign saying “Grab and Go.” The offering? No kidding, a Hostess Twinkie and bananas. Very disappointing!

Quick 2 night stay close to Camp Pendleton

2 king beds with table and 3 chairs Walking distance to eating places.

Location was tricky to get to. Very, very noisy with traffic driving by. No hooks or places to hang up anything. Even in the bathroom to hang up wet towels. Had to get a quarter from office to get ice from ice machine.

Everything. The reviews that made me book this property were not true. Said it was quiet despite location- false. Freeway entrance right there- extremely noisy. They only change linens every three days. Miserable bed. No carpet. Sad breakfast.

Super 8 stated they had breakfast . I wish they would be more specific what breakfast items they provided.

Property was hard to access. Very confusing. But it’s a nice hotel. Clean & close to a lot of shopping & restaurants. Beach is nearby also.

A great stay in Oceanside

This is my first stay at this Oceanside hotel, having stayed at most of the other local options over the years. I was very happy with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The room was serviced every day and had all advertised amenities. I would certainly stay here again.

The deposit was handled in a strange way, meaning it took well over a week to be returned.

Really really basic

Location on the north side of main downtown. The room had a microwave and fridge. 2 king beds. Plenty of towels, but I guess that's because we had 2 kings, and only 2 of us staying. Looks like things were upgraded with fresh paint and flooring. the price for it was during a bike race weekend. Staff friendly, with one person knowledgeable and into their job, the other not. Outside is extremely well lit and noticed a myriad of security camera views on a huge screen next to the front desk.

I thought we were staying at the Comfort Inn, 200 yards away, where we stayed previously. Desk clerk there said people make this mistake often. He also offered that the 8 BY WYNDAM mind, had upgraded recently, so we were feeling better despite outside appearances. We headed over. Throughout that Fri after check in, one thing after another was lacking, things which to our mind were generalities in all the hotels/motels we've stayed in throughout the decades. 2 king beds for sure, yet only one tiny shelf/stand between them with a light above- NOTHING on the outside of the 2 KING beds, no light, no nightstand, nothing. Yes, there's a desk with chair on far side of room-NO LIGHT available to use it, unless one wants to leave the overhead light on, or a wall light closer to the entrance. Room is a good size accommodating those 2 king beds plus, BUT there's so much left-over room it surely wouldn't cost that much to throw a love seat, chairs, nightstands in there! Good thing the place is so well lit with cameras because our section was a building away from the front desk section, so not visible from there. Because..... when I got up to get coffee 5am Saturday morning, 2 homeless guys sitting there on the bench outside our room, having cigarettes, their beat-up bikes lying on the ground next to them. When I returned, encountered a different homeless guy, carrying his homeless dog, cutting across the property, thru the breezeway connecting the 2 sections. Never felt threatened, but still we had our bikes on the back of our vehicle etc. I guess we got what we paid for, but there's something missing with this whole arrangement there. In fact, after the bike race and some lunch, then a shower, we left for home, ignoring the one more paid for night. If it matters to anyone, no tissues either.

Convenient location near Camp Pendleton, however actually getting to it can be confusing.

I got sick due to the poor filtration system in cooling system. Beds were hard and rooms just felt muggy and dirty.

This hotel is super white & clean, room is very spacious , beds are comfortable, big bathroom, great coffee, 1900 ft from the beach, affordable, NO CARPET is a big plus. We would definite come back.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and neat with exceptions noted below. Check in was super quick and easy.

Linens had not been changed on pull out sofa and extra pillows were not provided for it either. Location was very loud with traffic all night. The door had gaps all around, which contributed to noise. Parking was extremely limited and tight for our truck.

Großes Minus war „ incl Frühstück“. Zum Frühstück gab es Apfel Banane Kaffee und abgepackten Kuchen. Das alles ohne Sitzgelegenheiten. Also für mich kein Frühstück.

Excellent séjour je recommande !

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit dans une chambre 2 grands lits au rdc très spacieuse ! Accueil très sympathique. Localisation parfaite, parking gratuit, literie très très confortable ! Je recommande vivement si vous venez à Oceanside c'est un très bon choix ! Café et petits gâteaux offerts le matin à la réception.

Légèrement bruyant mais nous nous étions préparés à cette éventualité (boules quies !)
