Sofia Guest House

Just outside the busy part of the city but still easy to get to. The owner was extremely kind and gave me fruit and cake and wine and even offered me a ride into the city. There is lap a really nice cat :)

A wonderful stay. The location is fantastic, away from all the hustle and bustle and very close to the Shotas springs for fresh spring water. I loved walking into town from time to time, and with the bus stop right by the house, you can choose what you want today. Room and bathroom so nice and big, I slept so well. Also you can use a very nice kitchen! I was very pleasantly surprised by the many HIGH-QUALITY items, such as plates, towels, toilet paper, hand soap, windows, mattress, wardrobe....! And the hospitality, unbeatable, so friendly and really caring, but in no way intrusive. I actually didn't want to stay in Kutaisi, but I had to wait there for 6 days, which turned out to be one of my best stays ever. I would have loved to stay even longer. Thank you so much for everything, it was wonderful!

When you can find one of the women they are WONDERFUL but finding people to pay/get change, get information, get to the location is difficult. The rooms at the front are large enough and they held my bag for me when I went hiking. For the price it's good. The hotwater worked. The wifi did not.

The man who runs the place standing on the balcony looking straight into my room when coming out of the shower - there is ZERO privacy - the curtains are see through completely. He makes sexual/rude comments. He is the one running the booking.com messages but makes no sense at all. The mattress springs dig into my back all night and I'm only 58kg. Pretty uncomfortable. It's also REALLY far from town with a pack and no restaurants or stores nearby.
