Without doubt we shall book this hotel the next time we're in Flensburg.

The room was commensurate with the price and fully equipped for our one-night stay. The receptionist was exceptional (Andreas) who was very welcoming, super helpful with local information and had an excellent sense of humour! These are the people we rarely meet in life but who make lasting impressions for visiting (and very weary) travellers because they go out of their way to be accommodating and provide assistance where they see the need.

There was no lounge or common room or place to sit while waiting for others in the family to get ready. Although there was parking close by, it would have been ideal to enjoy parking within he same building as the hotel.

The check in procedure. There was a large group in front of us. The entrance hall smells. The lack of human contact is not for me. The person at the reception on the third floor sits in a glass booth which may me think what does this person need protection from? Due to dynamic pricing, this place was not cheaper than others.

Call me stupid, but I couldn’t find reception, and had to call booking.com from my room. Most disappointed at the lack of directions for parking. Unless you come by bus/train, you’re going to need it!

Good rooms, functional, clean everywhere and central location. Reasonable price.

No staff available at any time, impersonable. Check-in is through machine, which gives you an access code. No discount for parking, despite stating parking available. No bar or hang-out room. Beds were a bit hard, and lighting could be better. I hurt my head on the overhanging bunk bed, it would be good to avoid the third bed in a single room,

The hotel is located is an area with many beggars, as it is in front of the central bus station. Quite noisy at night.

Exhale and relax, you're safe now

Sparkling clean, the bed linen clearly smelled like freshly boil-washed, was crisp and white, the window could be opened fully to air the room, the TV worked and the remote control was self-explaining, the beds were comfortable (although there was a slight dent in the centre of the mattress), the shower was fairly huge (the water either hot or almost cold, not warm...), The design is simple, modern and calm, serene artwork above the beds. My stay was calm, quiet and relaxing as it should be.

I didn't like that there seemed to be no way of getting inside before you mastered the check-in terminal which can be tricky. My credit card somehow did not work, my Maestro card luckily did, the terms "PIN" and "ID code" are used interchangeably so that I did not find it easy to understand which one would open the door... And when you had a tough long day with some challenges, the last thing you need is another challenge. In the morning (around 10am) the reception was deserted and I wanted to leave my registration with someone. Took some waiting before I could check out
