Spacious and well presented accommodation in attractive town of Lucca

Very spacious living accommodation in attractive building. Well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean and well presented. The apartment is in an excellent position within the old town of Lucca, and also within walking distance of the train station. Lucca is a real gem. Giulia is a great host, very friendly and helpful.

Lucca apartment in a great location

The apartment's location is great. A ramp up to the city wall is very close by (nice for evening strolls), as are great coffee bars, churches, and the train station. The bed is super comfortable -- a firm mattress that feels new. The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator, and its bedroom and bathroom are in a loft, so people who don't like stairs should not choose this apartment. We had no trouble with the stairs, though; they were well lit and wide enough to navigate with luggage. Communicating with the host was easy.

Great place to stay in Lucca

Effeto Cittadella has a great location, about a 10 minute walk from the train station and across a paid parking lot for people with a car. As mentioned in the description, it’s in a third floor without elevator, but Giulia was very friendly and helped us with the luggage. The apartment is nice and comfortable and the washer was a definite plus.

Excellent accomodation in lovely Lucca

Hosts were friendly and accessible. They reacted quickly to resolve a problem. The apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable and I had all I needed. Location was perfect - close to the wall for a daily walk and minutes to most of the old city. Very handy to rail station. My only comment is that there could have been better notice of the 3 flights of stairs to the apartment door. This could be a real problem for some.

Great location walking distance to main attractions with the best hosts you could ask for.

We stayed here in July and were looked after by Giannino and his daughter Giulia from start to finish. Over our 10 days there, they checked on us regularly to ensure all was OK with our stay. They ensured we had regular change of linen, garbage collected and the occasional treat from the local bakery (which was a surprising & welcome extra!). Located just inside the wall of old Lucca, we were a short distance to all the attractions, restaurants, cafes etc so would recommend highly for those who love to stroll around enjoying the sights instead of having to drive.

The TV was quite small although we weren't there to watch television - but the Paris Olympics were on, so I was up close with my vino!

Perfect place for a perfect getaway

Giannino received us with the keys and showed us the apartment, which is amazingly located close to the city centre but far away enough to avoid noises and crowds. There are markets and nice restaurants nearby, and if you happen to be there for th emusic festival, there is no better place. The apartment is great, has a great kitchen with everything you need, nice common areas, a great bed and a clean toilet. The air conditioning is powerful enough to cool the room.

Only a couple things which were not great, the 2 floors without the elevator you have to climb and the bed in the upper part of the apartment, which is not really handy, but it is what it is.

Location, size of the apartment and bathroom which had been renovated unlike the rest of the apartment.

The apartment was fitted out with very poor quality furniture and extremely poor quality kitchen. Furniture and walls had dirt and scuff marks. Ants throughout kitchen and mosquitoes constantly in the apartment.

Superb

We loved everything about this charming flat. Clean and comfortable in an excellent location within the walled city, access to amenities within a five minute walk. This fairytale city is such a joy to explore both within and without the walls. Giannino and his daughter Giulia were the consummate hosts! We will return!

Wonderful! Perfect base to introduce my fiancé to Lucca!

I specifically chose this apartment as when I looked on maps it was the closest to the train station when I was looking at dates. it was literally a 10 minute walk turning left out of the station. Great location in general, easy reach of the supermarket & main square & eating places. The host was very accommodating & very open with communication from the start, very much appreciated. Nothing. With the apartment being on the third floor, it was sometimes a little tiring walking up the stairs, especially when you’re a little unfit like us! But it was manageable & there wasn’t that many steps, we just took it slow.

Wonderful, centrally located and modern apartment

Everything in this property was amazing, it is a modern converted loft type apartment, beautifully designed with tasteful touches, all contributing to your comfort. Our host met us at the train station and brought us to the apartment, he was very charming and gracious and left us some very good recommendations for restaurants.The property is located within the historic walls of Lucca and it is very convenient indeed for everything one would wish to see and do when in Lucca. We hope to return one day and we can highly recommend this wonderful property.

Location- so close to great restaurants etc, the apartment space was big and open! The communication was fantastic! Giannino & Marko were lovely and great hosts.

Nothing, just could have done with a fan as it was soooo hot and the AC didnt cool the whole space but otherwise what a wonderful place!

Die Unterkunft war genau was wir suchten und wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral in der Altstadt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, in der Küche findet man alles was man braucht um eine Mahlzeit zuzubereiten, falls man nicht ins Restaurant möchte. Der Gastgeber kam zur Schlüsselübergabe und war sehr freundlich. Wir reisten mit Hund und, obwohl man mitten in der Stadt ist, findet man genug Grünfläche vor dem Haus für eine Gassi-Runde. Für längere Spaziergänge empfiehlt sich die Stadtmauer, ein Aufgang befindet sich gleich beim Haus. Der Parkplatz vor dem Haus ist Gold wert.

Helle praktische Wohnung in ausgezeichneter Lage von Lucca

Nach unkompliziertem schnellen Kontakt wurden wir pünktlich sehr freundlich von Giulia vor dem Haus empfangen, wo sie uns auch gleich einen Parkplatz quasi direkt davor zuwies, wofür wir für 10€/Tag eine Parkkarte von ihr erhielten. Giulia spricht perfekt Englisch und bat sich gleich großzügig an, uns mit dem Gepäck zu helfen (was wir ihr nicht zumuten wollten). Das Apartment liegt in der 3. Etage und ist über teilweise nicht sehr breite Treppen erreichbar. Wir waren begeistert von der Helligkeit des Wohnbereichs, der freundlichen, praktisch-modernen Einrichtung und den Blick direkt auf die Stadtmauer! Die Wohnung ist auf zwei Ebenen verteilt, über eine Metalltreppe erreicht man den Schlafbereich und ein gut modernisiertes Badezimmer. Für zwei Personen ist alles da, was für einen Aufenthalt von ein paar Tagen nötig ist, und trotz der Stadtlage ist es sehr ruhig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das ausgezeichnete Bett! Bei unserem nächsten Besuch würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder gern hierherkommen!

Nettes Appartement mit Potenzial

Lage, Parkplatz vor der Haustüre, alles hat gut funktioniert, Vermieter für Fragen schnell erreichbar, hilfsbereit, Holzboden, gute Matratze im Bett, Msisonettecharakter schafft großzügiges Raumklima, hell durch große Fenster, Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert.

Manches machte einen etwas abgewohnten Eindruck (Couch nicht wies Brösel undefinierbarer Art auf, Armaturen Bad sauber aber nicht sehr gepflegt, keine frischen Spültücher in der Küche, an schwerer zugänglichen Stellen größere Staubablagerungen auf)

Tolle Unterkunft an genialer Lage

Das Appartement liegt perfekt am Rande der Altstadt. Diese ist von da bequem zu Fuss zu erkunden. Das Auto kann vor dem Haus geparkt werden. (gegen Gebühr) Giannino war sehr unkompliziert, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir bekamen von ihm auch gute Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt. Herzlichen Dank! Wir genossen die Zeit und können die gut eingerichtete und schöne Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Was man wissen muss: Das Appartement liegt im dritten Stock und ist nur via Treppe zu erreichen.
