Château du Châtelard | Unique Apartment

Loved the history and feel of staying in a castle. Located at a convenient walk from the train station and gorgeous views !

Post sunset, the path from the entry gate has no light so with two kids was a little spooky.

Unique location in the castle , very atmospheric , stylish with great view to the lake and Alps At the same time you receive in the room everything that is needed even for long stay

The plants in the planters on the terrace are dried out, which spoils the photos and the overall view The bathtub is draining slowly Someone’s sock was found behind the door In our room… Dobby?))

Instructions and directions to enter the accommodation were very clear and super easy to follow (images included) and the hosts were super nice and responsive! The rooms look exactly like the pictures and delivery services can find the property very very easily. I particularly enjoyed that the 2 bedroom apartment also had a pull-out couch, just in case! The area and other guests are quiet, insulation of the entire apartment is very good and they provide electric fans during the summer time, which is when I visited.

There is usually only one key available which makes traveling with friends a little bit inconvenient, but you can always leave the key for your friend in the lockbox outside. It's important to note that the castle is on a steep hill! I could only make it up the hill by foot without any bags whatsoever. Though I enjoyed the exercise, you need to make sure you are *always* wearing comfortable shoes.
