Brand new stylish 'boutique' beach cottage nestled amongst our olive grove, surrounded by the tropical & native garden of our 2 and a half acre coastal retreat. Listen to the sound of surf from your bedroom, relax and enjoy nature at its best on the sunny deck. A short walk to the unique bird life on the estuary across to the spectacular private end of Waipu Beach with its white sand, clear blue water. Enjoy this special place, perfect for recharging your body and soul.
You can choose to have a totally private experience or join your hosts around the outside fireplace / pizza oven in the evenings when weather permitting. Wander around the French inspired vegetable garden and olive grove.
Kayak in the estuary, beautiful coastal walks, swim, surf and fish at the beach or feeling fit try kayak fishing off the beach. The sleeps 2 in style and comfort but happy for children to stay or another couple using the queen size sofa bed in the living area .
There is a range of cafes, shops and a local market at Waipu village. The surf club and beach cafe / restaurant is at the cove end of the beach. Close to Mangawhai and all that it offers, our delightful retreat is only 90 minutes north of Auckland.

After deciding last minute to have a weekend away out of the city, we decided a little secluded cottage would be perfect. Communication was good. The house was clean and tidy. We did notice there was no extractor fan in the kitchen so had to cook with window and door open. The cottage is located next to the owners house so was not as secluded as it appeared/we wanted but was still a lovely place to stay.

Delightful. private property - owners have landscaped well and was perfect overnight stay. Bach is as new - modern interior and everything perfectly presented.
Would recommend without hesitation.

This was sadly a very short stay for us as the property is lovely. Really nice space well situated away from the main house in your own tropical garden. Located a short drive to the beach and The Cove cafe. Jo the host had great communication and everything was just wonderful. We just wish it was longer! We will be back!
