Great spot for a wonderful few days in Santa Margarita Ligure

We loved the terrace, lovely spacious inside and beautiful original features.

We only got (many) automated messages from the admin people and only one message with useful information about check-in.

Noisy location with very few working amentities

The walls are paper thin and it is very noisy during the day and night. There is a constant stream of engine noise and conversations on the street are clear from inside the property with closed windows and doors. Amenities were poor - for 6 people and 11 nights we were given only two washing tablets and no change of fresh towels or linen. Pots and pans were all coated nonstick and scratched so we had to buy our own cookwear. No oven tray was available either. Lights and washing machine malfunctioned early on during our stay. Portofino Homes came to the property to maintain it during our stay. There was no apology or effort to remedy the situation. No, I would not recommend this property.

Well located apartment in a pretty town

Great Location, short walk to the local beach. Many shops eso grocery stores around Easy handling of keys on via lock box. Apartment was overall ok with basic facilities. Hosts were responsive on whatsapp, but responses were partly delayed

We didn't have wifi throughout our stay. The host tried to fix it, but without success. This back and forth communication with host cost us quite some time on our trip and no wifi made it difficult to connect with family in India. It was raining and there was no portable clothes stand/rack for drying indoor One of the bathroom closets was stained and didn't get better with our cleaning. One of the chairs had a broken leg, which is a health safety hazard. The host offered a small compensation in response to our complaint but unfortunately this does not make up for the difficulty during our stay

The luminosity throughout the flat; the "friendliness" of the host with a fresh-fruit basket, treats and water; the terrace; a freshly-updated kitchen with new appliances; empathy & kindness of the good young man helping my guests on behalf of PortofinoHomes.

The master bedrooms should be improved, particularly the cast-iron frame for the main one, which makes noise anytime you get up and might disturb the already-unfriendly neighbours; the second bathroom needs an urgent update in plumbing, tub; the single bedroom has a problem with the door that doesn't properly close, and the main gate needs a new lock or a proper locksmith repair it. - I really never expected my guests to be terrified to just shower after 22 or to be on the terrace at 20:40 tuned into Lilli Gruber's Otto e Mezzo while quietly dining and hear neighbours slamming windows twice and imprecate nefariously. Anonymous reporting to the agency. Absolute nonsense! - The repeating manifestos with the nun-run dormitory "rules" were uninviting to us and to whoever thinks to choose Santa as a hub with frequent travel in the Tigullio area - or expects more than just going to bed at 22 as in a convent. - Regardless of the sheer rules imposed on each guest, street noise starts at 5:30 am, with motorbikes, honks, and a local market set up on the street below every Friday until midday (see pictures)... We believe windows should be -at least- double glazing! - The "heads-up" situation "to abide by the rules" and anonymous reports were beyond acceptable - as well as the "please make sure to have all your rubbish out before you leave and leave none in the property." Is that seriously considered exceptional hospitality?

The location was perfect, Bianca was a really good host and went out of her way to assist us.

One of the sinks was blocked and some of the kitchen cupboard doors were loose.

Tolle Wohnung, mit einigen Mängeln und leider stark vernachlässigtem Unterhalt!

Schöne helle, hohe Räume in historischem Gebäude, 3 kleine Balkone, 1 Terrasse. Sehr schöne, alte Böden, Decken und Bilder. Ausgezeichnete Lage. Wenig/kaum Lärm von Innen/Nachbarn.

1. Mangelnde Sauberkeit: überall Staub, Farbsplitter, Dreck, Haare etc. gefunden. 2. WC Bürsten in ekelhaftem Zustand: sollten längst ausgewechselt werden, siehe Fotos. 3. Mangelhafter Unterhalt, viele Flecken, abgeblätterte Farbe, Belagsschäden etc., siehe Fotos. 4. Kücheneinrichtung recht dürftig, vor allem was die Gläser und Pfannen (keine grossen Kochtöpfe, keine Deckel für Pfannen) anbelangt, siehe Foto. 5. Sofas viel zu weich, Stühle/Sessel bis auf eine Ausnahme sehr hart und unbequem. 6. Betten eher billig mit zu weicher Matratze. 7. TV im Aufenthaltsraum mich sehr schlechter Bildqualität = unbrauchbar. 8. die meisten Türen sind verzogen, können z.T. gar nicht geschlossen werden. 9. alle Balkontüren und Fenster sind komplett verzogen, können nicht richtig geschlossen werden, es dringt viel Zugluft und Lärm von aussen ein, nur Einfachverglasung, keine Gummidichtung. Das müsste dringend saniert werden: wenn konsequent Gummidichtungen angebracht würden, wäre der Aussenlärm um wohl 50% reduziert! 10. in den Badezimmern riecht es streng nach abgestandenem Wasser: Abläufe/Siphons wohl schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt worden. 11. Terrasse im Baustellenmodus mit herumliegenden Teilen, siehe Fotos!
