Enjoy the perfect combination of privacy and easy beach access. Our home is located in a quiet culdesac just minutes from Tamarack Beach! Enjoy some early morning fishing at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon for Sea Bass and Halibut. Your Coffee will still be hot when you get there because its 300 feet away. Or walk another 4 minutes along the lagoon trail to play, surf or Boogie board two of the funnest breaks in all of San Diego at Famous Tamarack Beach.
Of course if your in the mood to just relax at home you'll enjoy sitting on the front porch reading a good book. Or sit by your own private heated tropical pool with 8' waterfall. Or truly relax in your private jetted spa nestled within in a wonderful rock feature grotto.
When your ready for lunch or dinner walk to Carlsbad's Vigilucci's Italian Resteraunt or drive along the coast one mile to the Village of Carlsbad for everything from Sushi to Great Mexican Food. This is a dream property!! We feel so lucky that Janet hosts so generously. We had a smooth check in, the kitchen was well stocked with appliances we wish we had at our own home. Minutes walk to the lagoon and beach, even walked into town multiple times along the beach. But the backyard!! The pool, tub, couches, grill, twinkly lights, we felt we were at our own private resort. Thank you for helping make our family getaway so magical! We hope to return and make it an annual reunion.

I couldn’t have asked for a perfect place to enjoy with family. We were walking distance to the beach. And only 5 mins to stores etc.. absolutely loved the pool spent a lot of time relaxing and barbecuing. Definitely coming back! We booked this house for my parents 50th anniversary. They wanted to spend time with their children and grandchildren to celebrate. This was the perfect house. It is close to the lagoon and beach, the walk is gorgeous. When we weren’t at the beach the pool kept everyone entertained. So many memories were made and we can’t wait to return.

We travel frequently and stay in many vacation rentals and this is on the top of our list. The location, house amenities and the backyard were just perfect! The pool and hot tub were such a hit with everyone - and the pool was heated!! What a bonus. We enjoyed being able to get to the beach in 5 minutes and then coming back to the house to BBQ and swim. The communication with the owner was quick and professional. Do yourself a favor and check out this rental next time you are in San Diego!!

The location was excellent. Plenty of space to spread out in this rental. I did not get fives all the way across because the two single beds need new mattresses. They are really horrible. Best part of vacay was the backyard pool. Lots of room for family & friends. Master bedroom very comfy & sooooo quiet, even though it was right off kitchen/ great room. I had a group of nine friends who came down to Carlsbad to visit me. The great room/kitchen was perfect for the size of our group. There were plenty of beds for all. Beautiful outdoor gathering spot with a fire pit and outdoor kitchen. The pool/jacuzzi is perfect as well. This is an easy walk to the lagoon and beach. Carlsbad village is only one mile away. This is a great spot for all adults or a large family.

Great location walkable to beach and downtown Carlsbad. The outdoor space makes this property- lovely backyard, pool, and hot tub area. The bedrooms and bath need some attention. Bedrooms are not as they are written in description, for three adult couples the beds were not comfortable. The room represented as a queen and twin is not- it is just a twin with trundle and does not accurately turn into a queen. There is a couch futon sleeper but that is in the main front room, not a bedroom. This setup would be fine for teens and kids, but not for adult groups more than 2 couples.

The house was very nice with an exceptional, beautiful backyard pool, grotto, hot tub seating 10 with a lovely waterfall. Also nice seating with a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen. The primary suite and bath were lovely and the other 3 bedroom were small but served their purpose. Great workable kitchen and roomy living and dining area. Overall, our stay was wonderful and loved the location being so close to the beach. Amazing ocean view! The host was very accommodating and available if needed. I would stay there again.
