New Siam II

The rooms were a good average size and clean. The bathroom had a shower. The water was not warm enough but was sorted after a couple of days. Our TV did not work. They sent a man to fix it but he couldn't, said would come back next day but didn't. It wasn't a big problem for us, we didn't need to watch any TV. The air conditioning is good but definitely noisy. Tea making facilities in the room. One water bottle per day per person is offered on asking for it. The swimming pool is good to cool down and was attended to for cleaning every day. We had the half board option. The breakfast is good for the price: toast pancakes jam ham eggs and the traditional Thai breakfast of rice and stir fry items. The evening meal is from a set menu. All options included chicken or pork. No halal option if relevant for you. No pescetarian or vegetarian options. We asked them to make us pescetarian options but the kitchen staff rigidly refused. We asked for vegetarian options, they prepared that for us. We stayed 5 nights. From nights 3 to 5 they offered tofu in our stir fried dishes which we tried and it was tasty. We got a meal every night and were full with it but the kitchen staff could have offered us some fish or prawns instead of the meat. All in all it wasn't unpleasant to stay at this hotel. We needed boarding passes for domestic flights printing, they charge 10 baht per copy and the receptionist doesn't give any change back. The old town is walking distance so location is very good.

Evening set meal for half board needs to have fish options and vegetarian options.

Good location, nice room (after renovation!), very good lighting in room. Not noisy. Pool is ok.

Hot breakfast dishes were always cold.

The pool and breakfast was excellent. Good toiletries. Able to make tea and coffee in the room. It had a good fridge and air con.

Hard pillow and only one when I normally use two. Only one towel each.

the location was good for me it was near shops and bars the room was clean and tidy so was the pool area which i liked

the wifi was poor in my room and kept buffering and the lifts in the hotel was so slow
