We had a lovely stay but had to clean before using some facilities which you don’t want to have to do on holiday. Fabulo

The location is excellent. Really close to all amenities and locations such as Johnnie foxes, bray and the Wicklow mountains. The cottage is situated in a very peaceful area. Use of the tennis court was a great addition. Communication from the hosts was very good and they were helpful when we had a question.

It needs a good deep clean! The bathrooms and bedding were clean but some areas were very grubby, such as the inside of the fridge and we have to scrub the oven pan and grill as it was so sticky. There were also coffee stains splashed up the stairs that we cleaned up ourselves. Lots of cobwebs on the windows too. The downstairs area is very small, there were 4 of us and we felt squashed in. Some of the furniture needs updates as cupboard doors were hanging off and no blinds on some windows.

had everything a house would need. Clean and very quaint. countryside surroundings very picturesque. close to main routes.

Would benefit from a small fridge welcome pack to include small amounts of butter, bread, milk and bottled water (recommend 2) - tea and coffee was present in cupboards. Just to cater for late arrivals and following morning breakfast.

lovely place for a family vacation

Beautiful country house, very quiet, spotless, child-friendly and beautiful. Excellent beds.

As an accommodation for up to 6 people, kitchen could have had a bit more "gear" such as plates, cooking pans and such. Only that. Because kitchen technical appliances such as kettle, bread-rooster and dish-washer were plentiful. Further kitchen was spotless and functionable.

Large comfortable bedrooms (the one room had no mirror) Close to Bray for food shopping.

We were not given instructions to open the driveway gate, only for the front door. Three bedrooms which could sleep 6, yet only seating for 3 on a couch and one chair in the lounge. Not enough crockery to use the dishwasher. Lovely base to explore the small villages around.

That we had to ring the intercom to the main house to enter the property. Luckily somebody was home to open for us. We would have been stranded if nobody was home.

A tale of two halves.

Location and setting both fantastic. Huge bedrooms and lovely showers.

Kitchen OK but lacking in some utensils, although hosts quick to rectify this. Two lounge areas but not enough room for whole family to sit together. Worked out for us though. Main thing and hope easiest to get right, The table only sat four. The house has enough bedroom space for 6 -8.

Perfect tranquil escape for families while visiting Dublin!

The Nook was exactly the place we were looking for on our family trip to Dublin! Daniel's place was spacious, clean, well-stocked, safe, and quiet (private gated parking was a plus). Communication was excellent (quick, friendly, and detailed) and check in/out was simple. It was nice to spread out and relax after spending all day running around in the city. Access to the washer and dryer was perfect (needed some clean clothes after 16 days on the road). We would definitely stay here again when traveling to Dublin in the future!

It was 25 - 30 minutes from Dublin city center, but we knew that when we booked it. The drive time was well worth it for the peace and quiet of this beautiful home.

Exceptional

The area around the house is gorgeous and serene. A shirt drive from Dublin, you get some space from the hustle of the city. If you're willing, you can walk about and see some of the local spots for a cizy meal.

The only inconvenience I encountered was that one of the rooms didn't have any means to store clothing. Wasn't the end of the works, but was unfirtunate as the other rooms did.

Great communication from the host. Spacious, comfortable bedrooms and well equipped kitchen. Easy to get to from Dublin airport and beautiful location close to tourist attractions.

A wonderful place!!!

We booked for a family visit. Well what can I say, a peaceful quiet location yet so accessible to everywhere we needed. The place is approached by an impressive gated drive. Bedrooms that are just massive and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and the upper landing room with the additional tv meant our children had their own space. Will be definitely booking again when we visit Ireland again!!

Fab stay !!

Really easy location to find, Conor and Daniel gave great directions and everything was super easy to find. We were given an extra lovely welcome by Ben (the family Golden Retriever) who even showed us to our door!! The property itself was really lovely and homely! 5/5 stars. Beds were comfortable,bathrooms were clean and the kitchen had everything you need! Daniel helped us with a few recommendations of places to go in the evening, which was really helpful. I would highly recommend the Nook and next time we visit, we’ll definitely make use of the tennis courts!

Brilliant place to stay

Fantastic place to stay, really recommend this place if your travelling with family/friends, you will need a hire car though due to distance in/out of dublin, the only negative thing we have with our stay is the place wasn't really cleaned good, we only noticed from playing hide and seek, cobwebbs etc. Tennis court was good, only if you included the pool within the available facilities just a idea for the future. Overall brilliant stay thank you.

Excellent House

Thank you Daniel for hosting our family, everyone had very comfortable 5 nights stay , the property is spacious , clean and very quiet , we love the location and surrounding . Easy access to M50 direct from the airport and close to Bray Town for any amenities. Daniel was very attentive from the booking period until we checked out. If our family come for a visit in the future, we will stay here again. Thank you
