We loved our stay at Alpha Cottage! It was in a safe location, close to transit. The instructions were clear and the host was responsive. The place was well-stocked and had plenty of space for my family of 5. There are several restaurants and a Tesco Express in walking distance, and being near the Canal was nice.
It was hot while we were there, so fans would have been nice, but being able to open the windows at night helped a lot! Like most places in Europe, if you want a top sheet for the bed, bring your own. :)

I think the owners need to do some maintenance on the facility.
The grounds close by were sketchy. Homeless encampment next door, right out our door. The shower in the master was less than acceptable. The drain from a three minute shower filled the room. The overspray hit the wooden door. After 6 nights in bnb’s, this was the bottom of the list. All others had at least coffee. Not here.
