Nice and quiet, right on the beach, super friendly staff, good vibes. As a solo traveller I felt safe

The location! It is beachfront and central. This made enjoying sunsets and the restaurants along the main road really accessible. The pool is almost on the beach so the view is pretty special. The beds were the most comfortable and clean we’ve had in our whole stay through Indonesia.

The long gang entrance was hot and dusty and if you have mobility issues. Entering / exiting is harder. Not an issue for me, but something to consider. I also wasn’t sure about the photos on booking.com which are not updated since a long time ago. The rooms are soo much nicer in reality. The staff also lacked the warmth we’ve been used to on our travels. They just seemed a bit cold and didn’t really care much.

Superb Location. Fantastic outlook, right on the beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great pool and restaurant area, with loungers and tables right on the beachfront. Easy walk to the main street for restaurants and shops.

We were in Bungalow 1. It had a beach view which was lovely, however the bathroom is a bit dated. The property is a bit hard to find as there is no signage from the main road.

The Location was superb right on the beach. The food I ate was very tasty. The acting manager the Uncle of the owner and also of the manager was very charming and extremely helpful and seemed to understand where I was coming from He rearranged my snorkelling trip to the following day due to my not sleeping most of the night, helped me rearrange my ferry trip back to Bali to a later time and also organised for me to change to one of the newly built deluxe cottages at the back that was cooler and quieter. He went over and above to make my stay more pleasant.

I paid more money to stay in a cottage at the front to have sea views as a treat for my birthday. This unfortunately was spoilt by the heavy bass music coming from the bar which I could hear throughout my room even with the door closed and when sitting on the verandah it gave me a headache certainly no reading a book as I wanted to. That kind of music indicated a party hotel which clearly it was not noticing the older clientele and seemed more for the bar staff's benefit than the customers. Also no toiletries in the 1st cottage as advertised and when moved on the 2nd night just 1 bar of soap so hardly toiletries, no glasses to drink from and no tea only coffee offered but no complimentary water to make it with! No automatic room service unless you asked for it and only one toilet roll in the bathroom so if you get an upset stomach you're caught short. These things are standard in hotels now in Bali and with this hotel charging prices of Bali hotels I expected more and this was more indicative of the losmens I used to stay in in Bali 40 + years ago. There was only a quilt offered no sheet under, no remote for aircon visible and aircon left on too high a temperature so at 4am when STILL not asleep as too hot I hunted for it with the torch on my phone as the main light in the room was not sufficient to see. I found it eventually under the bedside table at the back. I tried to contact the property before arriving to arrange a transfer from the ferry being an older person but got no response. I also texted the number at the office that night to say I could not manage the snorkelling next day and got no response. The manager was on holiday in Bali apparently so when this is the case there needs to be other communication channels for customers not just ignore them.
