You can feel Kyoto atmosphere

It's a very peaceful, quiet and lovely Jap style house. We love the tatami and everything that was thoughtfully prepared for us, from the tea, toiletries, towels, laundry detergent and etc.

It's quite a walking distance from Kyoto station and on a good day, it was a delightful walk, but on a tired day, we had to take Uber to give our tired feet a break.

Lighting in the house was bright enough and the location was good, a stone's thrown from Toji Temple and accessible by bus or from the Toji train station. The wifi worked well. Do ask for the wifi password from the host. The notes given erroneously said the password is on a sticker on the router.

As we are both aged more than 60, the steep climb from the second level bedrooms down to use the toilet at night was a bit difficult. If you are young and nimble, it should be no problem. Both toilets are downstairs, and each person gets one set of towels - a bath towel and a hand towel. Also, if there are 2 persons, both are to use the bedroom with the 2 beds; futon will only be provided for the second bedroom upon extra payment.
