Stunning place and exceptional service

What a wonderful stay! Jelena was truly an amazing host - she welcomed us with a smile and coffees. The views from the property are stunning! If you stay there, make sure to taste their wine and have dinner & breakfast (just make sure to wear stretchy pants 😁). Everything was so delicious! Hvala Jelena!

Piece of paradise!

Do not hesitate and just book! We arrived and were welcomed like a friend! The apartment was clean and spacious, with everything you need. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and the quiet. Parking was easy and in front of the building. The highlight was dinner and wine and the best meal we had! Our host were exceptional! We had car issues the following morning and a tight time frame to get to the airport and they were amazing and helpful and reduced our stress. You will not regret staying here!

Home away from home!

I felt like I was at home. The host family was so committed to giving us a great stay. They cook breakfast, lunch and dinner which you can purchase if interested. They also offer wine tastings. I really didn’t need to leave during the day—I experienced so much peace listening to the birds sing and enjoying the view. The quiet was so welcoming.

Definitely a car is a plus—we had a rental.

The host was amazing, we arrived late and were offered coffee and tea. The breakfast was amazing. So caring and helpful. I felt very cared for and spoiled. I would recommend Villa Mond

I was COLD. I did not know how to turn on the heater. In the morning I found out I needed to plug it in. There were no additional comforters or blankets, so I did not sleep well. Additionally, the shower had very low water pressure and was also a little cold. Finally, because it was late and dIark. We got lost and it was difficult to find.

Local, Authentic Montenegrin farm house with the nicest hosts ever!

The family was so hospitable, even after we showed up really late. We had some trouble finding the place. The breakfast in the morning was vast and so delicious!

Being from the US, we are not used to wall units for heat. It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out I needed to plug it in to heat the room. My friend, in the other room, never figured it out and she froze all night long! I did text her, but she didn't see it.

A lovely and warm stay

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was super kind and helpful, especially Jelena, who made us feel very welcome. We even received some welcome drinks upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. Our room had an amazing view of the mountains, and watching the sunset from our spacious balcony was unforgettable. We decided to have all our meals there, and it was the best decision. The dinner was a delicious 4-course menu with super fresh, local food – everything was so tasteful and at a great price. The local wine was excellent too; we enjoyed it so much that we bought two bottles to take home.

The only downside was that our room had a small window without curtains, so the sunlight came directly in our faces in the morning. Our balcony was shared with the other room, the curtains were see-through, which made it a bit uncomfortable in the morning when going to the bathroom in pajamas, and the other group were there having breakfast and could see us. Also, not really a negative but something to keep in mind: the property is quite far from everything, so you definitely need a car to get there.

Lovely family run accommodation with fabulous meals.

Meals were amazing! Supper was a 4 course meal. The costs of everything were very reasonable, the hosts are welcoming and accommodating. The family also makes its own wine. The area, a bit out of town, was beautiful, is located in the mountains. The lovely stone building has been in the family for over 200 years and run by the family. I felt completely at home. Highly recommend.

We had one of the smaller rooms and the bed takes up most of the bedroom and there is only one plug in. These are minor inconveniences as we could put our suitcases under the bed.

Yelena was an amazing host. Welcoming and friendly. Make sure you take every meal at the property. The food and wine were excellent and the prices cannot be beat.

Hidden gem!

Owner, dinner, breakfast, atmosphere!!! Super. The view amazing also. Sparkling clean room, everything you need is there. Photos didn’t show the beauty of this area. We are so glad that we chose to stay here, not in Virpazar. Quality and price

Excellent hosts, very homely, inviting, warm and genuine people. Yelena's food was delicious, home made and fresh. Rooms are very cutely designed with a great view. You can get a complete local authentic comfortable experience here. Highly recommended.

Be prepared for the natural wildness with bees and insects. Although the hosts try their best to keep them away, it's unavoidable. This would be the only reason why I would probably limit my stay to 2 nights

Apartment Mond is an absolute gem. ♥️ From the moment we arrived, Elena and Ivo made us feel like part of their warm, sweet, and welcoming family. Elena’s cooking is truly exceptional- both breast, dinner and Ivo’s wine. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience, full of fresh, local flavours and love in every detail. The view here is nothing short of epic. No photo can prepare you for it- the mountains feel close enough to touch, drawing you in until you forget about everything else. Nature is right at your doorstep. It’s worth knowing that Limljani is about 15 minutes from Virpazar. If you have a car, it’s perfect- you get both the convenience of visiting Lake Skadar’s attractions and the peace of a more secluded, authentic village setting. Without a car, the location might be trickier. Apartment Mond is unforgettable.

Loved the nature and home style

We loved the family. Great communication and even a goodbye gift from their own produce. We loved the breakfast, everything fresh and homemade. Apartment very beautiful, even with cot, which we didn't ask for in advance. Balcony. Remote quite location. A swallow nest with babies. Great. Also, AC is upstairs and works very well, so don't keep doors open.

Please take an alergy tablet with you just in case, as there are a lot of huge bees and wasps.

Ivo and Yelena are excellent people. If you want a quiet and peaceful holiday, it is a perfect holiday destination. They offered us wine. Bugs, but arguably they are everywhere in nature and to be expected in the middle of a rural location. There was a local power cut (NOT the venues fault), which meant the AC was out for a while.

Exceptional stay with a soul

I usually don’t leave reviews, but in this case, I simply couldn’t not share my experience. This stay was one of the highlights of my entire trip. The place has a real soul to it. Elena, the host, was absolutely lovely and went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. For me, having a clean bed is crucial, and although the room was small, it was spotless—exactly what I needed. The food deserves a special mention—it was homemade, fresh, and simply outstanding. I had few glasses of wine with dinner, and surprisingly, no hangover the next day, which says a lot about the quality! The location is superb: peaceful, with beautiful scenery that lets you fully disconnect and enjoy the moment. I was also lucky enough to meet other travelers from Norway, and we ended up having a wonderful evening chat over wine, filled with laughter. Breakfast felt like being back home, and no one rushed me to check out, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. Honestly, this was the best part of my whole trip. Thank you, Elena and her husband!

A small tip: Don’t forget mosquito repellent! It’s part of the charm of staying close to nature, but better to be prepared

The place was spot clean, the family hosting so kind and welcoming with refreshments upon arrival. Such a quiet location with amazing views and great outdoor area. They also produce wine which you can get at the property!

A perfect stay in a peaceful rural setting and hosted by the most amazing family.

It is the most incredible place a short drive from Lake Skadar, so peaceful, and with wonderful views, and all set in a traditional Montenegrin farmhouse. But it's the hosts, Ivo and Jelena, that the make it absolutely magical - their generosity and warmth are outstanding and we felt like 'family' while staying there. We so enjoyed their food, both at breakfast and dinner, which was mostly sourced from their garden, not forgetting the delicious wine from their vineyard and the lively conversations. Our thanks to all the family for a perfect stay.

I liked the beautiful surrounding-the guesthouse is situated near Shkodra Lake, among wineries and mountains. The hosts are warm-hearted and hospitable. They welcomed us with cup of tea and their own wine. The breakfast was delicious.

Very nice location, with beautiful view. The family that runs the place is very kind and caring, you can tell they are passionate about their job. The breakfast was great, done with genuine local products. Some of the kindest people we met during our stay in Montenegro. We recommend this place.

The place is not very close to Virpazar, 15 min by car. However, the area is beautiful and immersed in the nature. The air conditioning was a little bit noisy (we had to use it as there were no mosquito nets).

Stunning place to kick back and unwind in the peace and quiet

This place is like a homestay. It is located on a hillside overlooking a valley up a small road. We used a taxi to get there and when we arrived the place was stunning. Ivo and Jelena are salt of the earth people and we were immediately offered his own organic wine which was of really good quality. We had our meals there in the evenings as we didn't have a car rental (I would recommend having a car so you can see more of the area) and we had bikes for a day to go down to Virpazar to go on the boat around Skadar Lake. The food is all home grown/locally sourced and was plentiful and delicious and very good value for money. The breakfasts are very good too. We felt so relaxed and comfortable there. One evening my husband offered to make a meal and was given free rein of the kitchen with the help of Ivo, Jelena and their 2 girls, We shared meals with 2 couples on our first night -one German couple and one French and it was nice to all interact whilst drinking Ivo's lovely red wine. We bought 4 jars of preserves and the wine to take back to the UK. the house is beautiful and the scenery around stunning. We went on walks nearby where there are mountain waterfalls with refreshing water. We are definitely going to return and make it our base to visit the mountains and lakes around Podgorica. I can highly recommend it and it is so cheap. Thank you Iva Jelena and girls.

Despite that we arrived late and were thinking about dinner in Virpazar, we just casually asked if it is possible to have something there. Even since the kitchen was already closed, the owner kindly offered us a cold dinner in about 20 minutes. It was enough for both of us after a long trip and we were lucky to also taste local wine. Breakfast was also no brainer, delicious, local and we stop counting how many dishes were in front of us 🙂 Despite only an overnight stay, we will definitely visit again 🙂

Not a negative, just prepare yourself that road there is a bit narrower, so definitely try to arrive before darkness
