Had the best time!

Gorgeous property located a few minutes drive outside of Ao Nang centre. Pool is lovely, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms are lovely and aircon is powerful. The bed was slightly hard but still comfortable. Overall a great stay!!

The resort is located far from the noisy streets in a beautiful setting. Facilities work very well and its very clean

I really liked the location and the beautiful pool area with an amazing view of the mountains.

The room feels very old, the bed is really hard, and the pillows, bedsheets, and towels truly need replacement. It would be helpful to add some small towels and maybe a bit of art or decoration to make the room feel more comfortable. Replacing the curtains would also improve the space. The tap faucet needs fixing as well. The hotel clearly had better days, and the photos seem to be from that time, which creates misleading expectations. The complimentary breakfast is very basic — hot water, tea, instant coffee, cheap bread, and a few cookies. It would be much better with fresher and higher-quality options.

Staff members were very helpful and polite but the downside was that the there was lack of cleaning.

I liked the swimming pool the most as it was very peaceful.

I feel like there was a lack of cleaning. We have set the sign on our bungalow to be cleaned but unfortunately that didn’t happened at all, once our towels were replaced and bed was made up. We have stayed there 5 nights in total and we were expecting a little bit more cleaning.

Beautiful location and brilliant staff

Very peaceful location with beautiful scenery. Ao Nang beach is easily accessible, took us around 25 mins to walk. The hotel did also provide a free shuttle service a few times a day but we just ordered a Grab for the convenience and it was only ever 60-90 baht (depending on time of day/weather, etc.) It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the main road, on which are plenty of great restaurants, convenience stores, etc. The pool was lovely and a great way to cool off after a day exploring. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help with any questions. Rooms are spacious and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the balcony in the evenings. Good water pressure in the showers and consistently reliable hot water.

A very minor thing I would change would be the curtains on the main doors. All the windows had both a net curtain (for privacy whilst still letting light through) and a regular blackout style curtain for nighttime. However the main doors only had the blackout curtain. This means anyone walking by can see into the rooms unless the blackout curtain is across. Not at all a major issue, but having the net curtain for privacy (whilst still having light in the room) would have been a great bonus.

Amazing holiday

-Very Cozy very nice environment for chill and relax. It's like another zone from Krabi. Quiet and peace. -Perfect view and swimming pool size and depth. -Great service -Room size and decoration -big bed, bathtub -very simple light breakfast, coffee tea biscuit bread provided -They provide shuttle to Aonang beach in certain time, otherwise u can order grab car or bike, or rent a bike. Not a big deal for us.

Fine for what you pay

For a couple of days it was fine. We would not recommend a much longer stay. While the pool view and the pool amenities were phenomenal just like the staff which were so lovely and helpful.

Things like the aircon and shower were a little outdated and did not function properly anymore, although this was not the biggest problem still something to note. The bed was as per usual in Thailand, hard as a rock.

Amazing place to stay if you want somewhere a little quieter

Staff were unbelievably caring, helpful and kind. Our bungalow was a delight to stay in - plenty of space and a gorgeous bathroom with both a bath and a shower! Swimming pool view was outstanding. Only thing missing was a cafeteria/restaurant to purchase food from.

Beautiful pool and helpful staff, but beware of many bugs in room and uncomfortable beds.

We loved the pool and the staff were very responsive to our questions and requests. Very quiet area as well.

The room itself was outdated and we had many bug problems. Lots of ants and small spiders found in the bathroom, as well as a very large spider that was found on my clothing the next morning. The staff responded well to helping us remove these bugs, but it definitely was not comfortable knowing the abundance of bugs in our room. The bed was not comfortable, and amenities all around were very old and did not seem clean.

Resort is okay. The rooms are a little bit dated and dull. Location is 5 minute drive from busy area (resort does provide a shuttle - last one is 6pm) no problem getting taxis too. Definitely not walking distance. It unfortunately lacks facilities such as a bar, restaurant, gym. Staff are very nice and helpful. Overall it’s a little far (walking wise) from the central area, not many facilities, however the pool is nice and scenic.

A lovely quiet hotel that has almost got it right for a truly comfortable stay.

The property is well laid out with lovely large bungalows and fantastic bathrooms with a bath and separate shower. The swimming pool is great, clean and the centrepiece of the hotel with views of the mountains and set amongst a beautiful garden space. The reception staff are absolutely delightful and a simple free breakfast of tea and toast was welcomed. The regular free shuttle bus that takes you into the centre is also very helpful, so I would use this to get into town and always walk back to get some exercise. It would take me 20 minutes and was no problem, although a small hill to navigate if this would be a problem for you. I personally liked that is was not in the centre of town, being quiet and relaxed. I would stay here again.

It surprises me that such a lovely pool would have awful sun-beds. There is only a small selection of hard wooden, uncomfortable “beds” some of which have missing slats. I know it has been mentioned several times before that the sunbed situation isn’t good, and I am surprised the owner has invested in something much better as yet. It does let the property down when it has so much to offer.

Beautiful Setting, But Hygiene Could Be Improved

I had a lovely stay at Aonang Phu Petra Resort—the tranquil setting and mountain views were truly relaxing, and the staff were warm and accommodating throughout my visit. However, I did notice some room for improvement in hygiene. On the first night, I received towels that had an unpleasant smell, and the mosquito net could have been cleaner. With a bit more attention to linen freshness and cleanliness, the experience would have been even better. Still, the resort has great potential and offers a peaceful retreat.

Perfect for our stay, clean and tidy.

Very comfy and clean. Massive rooms and beautiful bathroom. Supplied a good wooden safe and comfy cot for our baby. Not just a pop up one you’d normally get. Lovely pool in the sun most the day too, friendly helpful staff. Free hot drink and toast & spreads in the morning.

That the shuttle is only every 2 hours. 9-5:30pm And he only stops at one spot, it’s a bit far to go for food / drinks to walk as in the dark but it is doable. Or the tutus are 200bht Needs some sort of hot food / snacks facility as you have to go out or order a food delivery in.

Good value for money and they remembered our honeymoon

The size of the villa is great. Hige living area and huge bedroom. The bathroom had some minor things but it was fixed quickly. The breakfast they didn't offer didn't bother much. They offered something that reminds more of a camping trip but we never used that anyway. The pool is nice and the view to the mountains is fantastic. They also remembered our honeymoon which I mentioned only briefly in on conversation.

The main issue i encountered was that, when leaving the villa the electricity turns off. Whilst I like that, as it saves energy... the fridge was also on the same circuit. Which lead to food going bad. The age of the sunbeds however was not inviting.

No WiFi and no breakfast. The walk to town is about 15 minutes but watch for traffic as there are no sidewalks. The hotel shuttle service is only one way and is not very frequent.

Pleasant stay because accommodation is clean and spacious, but our balcony looked onto a wall.

There was no breakfast. No restaurant, but toast, tea and coffee in offer and a few biscuits and cereal for children. We did not access the breakfast.

I was very disappointed with the location. When you look at the photos you see a resort amongst a plantation of palm trees and two dirt roads. It looks remote and beautiful. Instead it is one of many hotels and there is a neighbouring ‘hotel’ that is half way through construction and is ugly. This you can see from the pool. When asking for a coke, we were told there were no cold ones! Staff friendly, but few staff so when receptionist showing someone to their room, there is no one in attendance at the reception desk, leading to long waits for assistance.
