We had nice stay at this beautifully designed hotel!Almost everything about it felt special and unique. Hospitality: Giada at the front desk was kind, welcoming, and always ready to give us the best local recommendations She also connected us with Francesco, a wonderful taxi driver who picked us up from the airport and gave us a smooth ride to the hotel. Seamless Check-in: Although we arrived late and the reception closes at 20:00, the self-check-in process was simple and completely hassle-free. Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast was delightful, featuring a wide variety of fresh fruits and unique, special pastries. The staff even prepares a custom coffee just for you! Amenities: The hotel features a well-stocked honesty bar where you can easily grab drinks and charge them to your room. There is also a water tap available for all guests. Beautiful Rooftop: The rooftop sun deck is a wonderful bonus, complete with a refreshing rainfall shower. Perfect Location: Situated in a beautifully decorated building, the hotel is within easy walking distance to almost all the main attractions in the Old Town.

While the staff was nice, we felt misled by the hotel's description on Booking.com, and encountered several issues during our 5-night stay: Misleading Spa & Pool Information: The main reason we chose this hotel for a hot August vacation was because it was advertised as a "Spa Hotel" with two pools. In reality, there are NO pools at all—not even the one shown in the photos, even for an extra fee. The spa itself is very small with very limited booking hours. Maintenance Issues: We booked 3 rooms for our group. In one of the rooms, the air conditioning was extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep. Poor Housekeeping Policy: Room cleaning does not include replacing towels or replenishing shampoo automatically. You have to request them. When we asked for clean towels, the staff member who brought them aggressively threatened us with a fine if we took them to the beach. Accessibility & Space Issues: The stairs are steep, and the elevator is tiny, extremely slow, and was even broken on one of the days. Carrying large luggage up can be very difficult. Not Suitable for Groups: There are no common or public areas where a group can sit together in the evening to talk without disturbing other guests. Bottom line: This place is only suitable for couples (or couples with one child) traveling with light luggage and no knee or mobility issues. It is definitely not suitable for groups.

Location

It is not as you expect from evaluations and photos. The spa costs 15€/hour per person and you need to book it with 24 hours before. You need to pay for shampoo and shower gel is one sample per person considered welcome gift. If you stay one night is ok but we were there 4 nights!

We stayed here as a family — two adults and two small children — and had a wonderful time. This is not your typical chain hotel; it has a genuine, unique character all of its own. Our room was wonderfully spacious and full of charm, with thoughtful touches you don't often find, and there was plenty of room for the four of us. The location is superb: right in the heart of old town Palermo, tucked into the historic Ballarò quarter and within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, Ballarò market, and the Quattro Canti. Perfect for exploring the city on foot with the kids. Breakfast was basic but good, and the coffee in particular was excellent — a proper start to the day. There's also a self-service honesty bar, a nice relaxed touch for grabbing a drink whenever you fancy one. One thing worth knowing: reception isn't staffed 24 hours, so it's worth sorting out arrival times and any questions in advance. It didn't cause us any problems, but it's good to be prepared. If you want somewhere with real personality rather than a cookie-cutter hotel, this is it. Highly recommended for families, and we'd happily return.

The room was really beautiful, well laid out and styled to feel very Italian but with modern comforts - I even enjoyed the strange shower by the bed. Once you get used to navigating back streets the location is very good. I enjoyed laying out on the terrace and the honesty bar is a really handy feature.

Spa was a big reason we booked this hotel above others in the area - it is 15eupo pp for 1hr (quite expensive as it's so small) and you must book in advance, when we did book they unfortuantly they said it wasn't working. Breakfast was quite average compared to others we had during our time in Sicily and we would have liked the option of having in in our room as mentioned on website.
