First the positives, Breakfast was plentiful, we had a coffee maker in our room, which had to be coaxed into working, parking was free and ample, unless you returned when the Restaurant was full, then you have to wait for someone to leave. The bathroom was large and clean, Once the shower head was sorted, there was a good shower. In an email before we stayed we were advised there was no television in the room, which was fine, it is a family run Auberge.
Negatives, Booking through Booking.com does not allow all the information to reach you. We paid for an upgraded room, (Room 2) which had a sea view. This it did, but we were not notified it was up 3 flights of uneven stairs, being in our 70’s this was an issue. The room although upgraded was very small, with nowhere to put our cases other than on the floor, there was only one chair, and nowhere else to sit in the Auberge. No bedside lights, just two vegetable boxes as side tables. One centre light which you could not reach from the bed to switch off. Their website states English is spoken, but this is only in the morning. We booked at the restaurant, (which was expensive 55 Euros) but due to food intolerances a third of the set menu was not available to us. No alternatives were offered, although there were just 5 covers including us
