Mixed Experiences

First the positives, Breakfast was plentiful, we had a coffee maker in our room, which had to be coaxed into working, parking was free and ample, unless you returned when the Restaurant was full, then you have to wait for someone to leave. The bathroom was large and clean, Once the shower head was sorted, there was a good shower. In an email before we stayed we were advised there was no television in the room, which was fine, it is a family run Auberge.

Negatives, Booking through Booking.com does not allow all the information to reach you. We paid for an upgraded room, (Room 2) which had a sea view. This it did, but we were not notified it was up 3 flights of uneven stairs, being in our 70’s this was an issue. The room although upgraded was very small, with nowhere to put our cases other than on the floor, there was only one chair, and nowhere else to sit in the Auberge. No bedside lights, just two vegetable boxes as side tables. One centre light which you could not reach from the bed to switch off. Their website states English is spoken, but this is only in the morning. We booked at the restaurant, (which was expensive 55 Euros) but due to food intolerances a third of the set menu was not available to us. No alternatives were offered, although there were just 5 covers including us

Good dining choices

The room size was sufficient but it lacked all the usual facilities live TV , drinking water , telephone , extra pillows and blanket, inadequate lighting .

Great place to stay near Dieppe with Beach nearby

Beautifully located, breakfast room and terrace overlooking the sea. Rooms were good size and we had a well equipped kitchen and 2 toilets. Unfortunately we did not have a chance to try out the restaurant, however the menu looked excellent.

Parking is limited especially as the restaurant can get very busy.

Great lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff and beautiful views.

The hotel was beautifully situated. When checking in there had been a mix up by the hotel in rooms with other guests - but the staff handled it really well and professionally.

The breakfast wasn’t really elaborate. For instance in the evening when we had dinner in the great restaurant they could serve a cappuccino, however, when having breakfast in the exact same restaurant they could not serve a cappuccino.

Great stay close to the ferry in Dieppe

Lovely room - very comfortable Had a fantastic meal there too

The breakfasts are basic and not worth the money The room we were in was up three narrow staircases. This wasn’t a problem for us but something to watch out for if you have heavy bags. I think this is just for rooms with a sea view though.

Lovely location, great restaurant where we had dinner, nice staff, we had a lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea. Also they had a Tesla charger we could use- very helpful.

Attractive old auberge in a lovely position but rather disappointing.

The position overlooking the sea.

Access by an unlit exterior staircase to bedroom on the second floor. Cold bedroom with a very poor electric radiator that was unpredictable and difficult to regulate. Service on the second day left the bathroom inadequately cleaned and with no toilet paper which I had to go and request from the reception. The room rate per night was far too high for the quality of accommodation offered. Dinner was reasonable and not at all exceptional but it was not worth the menu price of 50,50 euros.

Location and excellent EV charging station. Very helpful and very friendly staff. Excellent restaurant with outstanding food. Location so close to the ferry port and lovely coastal views.

Wonderful couple of days

We stayed two nights with our dog. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious and service excellent. Can’t wait to return.

The view from our room (and bed) was spectacular. Friendly staff and fine food. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the terrace (and its terrific view) due to the weather.

Bed wasn't actually queen size but 2 single beds (and mattresses) tied up together which were apt to come apart. We couldn't have breakfast served in our room. The staying guests dinner tables were as far from the windows as you could get... Priority was clearly given to the restaurant customers.
