Great stay near ferry

clean, as described

I could not see any sort of fire suppression or alarms (I may be wrong but these were really not obvious.). As we were on the 2nd floor our means of escape were pretty limited. I would like to see smoke detectors and a robe ladder or equivalent available.

Goid location nice and clean but too cold for winter

Easy access to the ferry port in Dieppe.

Radiators were not switched on and there was only an oil filled radiator and it was 3 degrees outside so very cold

Charming, clean and good value for money!

The room was lovely, spacious and clean. The bathroom was modern and big. We loved that the living room area seemed separate from the bedroom space so felt much larger. Communication from the host was prompt and informative. Check in was easy. Excellent experience all round. We would love to come back some time.

It’s a little far out from town so we had little options for food when we arrived later in the evening unless we drove. But we were aware of that when we booked. Just be aware of this for anyone potentially wishing to book.

A mediocre start to our trip

Proximity to the ferry port. Pretty garden to have breakfast in - if the weather allows. Good communication from the owners pre-arrival

Difficulty in locating the property in the dark - maybe a sign on the wall would help. Ditto exterior lights to show garden steps. Narrow stairs to our bedroom, in an annexe, not the main house, awkward when carrying luggage. A velux window only in the room. Meagre bath towels. Lumpy pillows, it felt as if quality had been a bit skimped. No space on the small side table if the breakfast in the room option had been necessary. There was no choice of breakfast time 9 am only and the employee organising this seemed in a great hurry to serve it and leave.

Very convenient location but check the bed linen

Great location, spacious accommodation, offered late-night access, nice breakfast.

On arrival there were a large number of huge hornets(?) flying around the entrance hall/stairs. These scared the life out of my daughter. It was very hot upstairs in our apartment and there were no fans. We couldn’t leave windows open as these hornets were flying around. The duvet cover and pillow case for the sofa bed were unwashed. The pillow case smelled badly of greasy hair!

Picturesque Dieppe flat

Pretty flat in the picturesque part of Dieppe. Comfortable and ideal for a quick stopover after we arrived late in Dieppe.

The fridge and microwave didn't work and we couldn't find the plugs. Perhaps just a glitch or perhaps user error?! Didn't detract from our stay as we weren't there for long enough.

lovely place nice location for a walk to the sea or catching the ferry

Lovely garden in front of the property and owner was very friendly and helpful and it was very easy to check in and out.

The bed was directly next to the bathroom door and was not the most comfy- the sofa bed was not fantastic but I have also experienced much worse. The other guests arriving late were very noisy.

Perfect little overnight stay with flexibility and charm and good value for money.

It was clean, well equipped, remote access actually suited us as we needed flexibility due to unknown arrival times. It also has character and was not just a mundane cheap hotel - good value for money considering the charm.

The only two things were the parking location and access weren’t immediately easy and obvious - but I hadn’t picked up the messages from the host in time (which were clear). The other thing was some of the bedding was not freshly washed and smelled like they hadn’t been changed from other guests. This was rectified within an hour or so.

Everything about the apartment was excellent. I suggest that the optional breakfast is available earlier, say 08:00hrs.

A pleasant stay in a great location.

We stayed for one night as catching the early morning ferry. Lovely room in a great location. Had everything we needed. Easy self check in. Would definitely stay again!

Clean and well situated for the car ferry. Thanks to the owners for returning my mislaid necklace.

The room was quite small but had been recently refurbished or the whole house had been recently up dated into several holiday lets. Decor was good and the room was very clean. The room was quiet. Location was perfect for us as we had a ferry at 6.30 am and the car ferry was 10 minutes away. Parking was initially a bit of a problem in a narrow road but we noticed this improved later.

A bit closer to a restaurant or pub by foot would have been good as we did not want to lose our parking spot!

Excellent short stop to catch my ferry

It was quite economic and very close to the Ferry terminal which was all I needed. I was also able to park on the road outside.

Really comfortable 1 night stay with great beds and fabulous shower .

Villa Carlotta has been beautifully renovated but the owners have get the beautiful wooden floors . The 2 bedroom apartment had everything one needed. Just wish we could have stayed longer . Sadly we had to leave before 9am so we couldn’t sample the Le petite Dejeuner that we could have purchased , & had delivered to the apartment for 12 euros per person . It sounded delicious! We will be back !

It was very nice that the friendly owner speaks English. We had a warm welcome. The room was brand new and very clean. We had a french breakfast in the garden. Parking the car in the quiet street was no problem. Free WiFi

Villa with nice garden, but not really a sea resort

The room was nice, but small, the little garden is charming and having a breakfast there was great.

The owner were to meet us, but didn’t - the key to the room was simply in the door; the location is not very attractive, parking on the street is not easy - very narrow and limited. In the vicinity, there is not even one grocery store or bar - bring your own food for the evening, or be ready to drive somewhere else, but then struggle with the street parking again. The name “sea resort” is highly exaggerated!

Clean room although very small. Comfortable bed Just ok for an overnight stay before ferry . Would not stay longer .

Never saw any staff at all , checkin and check out both remote . Only a cat to welcome us and even that was asleep! Main doors to the property always locked , so access only to the room Continental Breakfast expensive at 12 euros

Good spot for ferry and to get to know a little bit about this special town. Dieppe is worth a visit

The room was renovated and in a quiet street. We were permitted to check out later. It's not so far from the beach.

The room was cold with no way to turn on any heat. We were advised there would be breakfast from 9am if ordered up to 7pm the night before. We ordered breakfasts for two (12 euros each). At 9 am there was no one around so we waited 30 minutes and then left. We contacted the manager and received no reply. We went to town to find breakfast. We parked the car at the church on the hill and walked to town as the accomodation is a little far from the main town. Poor hosting imo.

A very pleasant one night stay in a clean, well appointed and spacious studio apartment.

Villa Carlotta is well situated and set in a pretty private garden in a quiet street. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, very spacious and well equipped.

Very comfortable and convienent for the ferry port.

The owner was very pleasant and responded quickly to our needs, however we do like the personal contact. It seemed a bit strange to do everything remotely. This would not prevent us from staying again.

Kettle in the room was a nice touch and the room was exceptionally clean.

Very small room unsuitable for our needs as my husband is very tall. Very thin walls - next door left at 4 in the morning and we heard his alarm on snooze 3 times, his shower, shutting the door etc from 2.30. My husband kept banging his head on the light.

Just one night, we survived

Location was ok. Lovely building and grounds. Nice room

Virtual check in. Immediate problem was a fairly major leak when we used washbasin. Rang owners, quick response. Asked what problem was, requested photo of leak. Moved us to another room. Very nice, but despite having a radiator, the room was cold and I was cold!
