Friendly welcoming clean small rooms close to beach

Staff were excellent. Property was lovely and clean. Breakfast was delicious

Family suite was very small. Hardly any room to move around and seating was on the beds as room was cramped and difficult to move around in. A coffee machine was stated as a facility in the room but was not present at all during our stay. We brought our own coffee pods but machine was non existent. There was a cafetiere in breakfast room

Almost too sterile too many rules was scared to wash face as sign in bathroom about not getting make up on towels. The bed was uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel, close to sea front, great owner

The owner was very helpful and the hotel was very welcoming and clean. The breakfast was good and the beds were very comfortable. The room was on the small size for a family room but it was great for a couple of nights. The location was 10 mins from the beach.

The room was in the attic so quite hot and we needed the windows open day and night, which unfortunately meant that there was a lot of traffic and other noise which disturbed our sleep. This is obviously no fault of the owners and will apply to all hotels on the road. In cooler weather this may not be an issue.

Rooms are much smaller than looks in the photos.Wodden bed frame not a great option on a quite tight space.Kitchen/dinning area was locked,only have acces at breakfast time,then stays locked.

An exceptionally clean guest house which suited us very well for a family event. Rooms were well equipped & the bed comfortable. Parking was no problem during the day or night on the next streets. Nick was a great host, we would recommend staying here

Great location, friendly staff

The location is great, only a 5-minute walk from the sea. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. We arrived an hour later than expected, but Nick was still waiting for us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it.

Very relaxed and clean

It was a lovely cosy room to accommodate a family of 3. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The breakfast was good and whatever you wanted the lady proprietor (forgotten name) would serve for you. Great access to the sea front just a little 10 minute walk.

It was very noisy as at the front of the property on a main road and just a short distance from the police station with sirens a lot. As it was warm we had the windows open. This didn’t spoil our stay though. Parking is very difficult, if you’re lucky you could park on road from 8pm till 11.am.

Very good service from Jane. I loved staying there not far from the shops.

Jane is really nice. She made us feel comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and she went out of her way to give me items I needed. Jane is a good person. She was kind and informed us of places that we should visit as I wasn’t sure. 10/10 for her services. Jane works really hard and I noticed she was doing a lot. Well done! 😊

My son had to keep making his bed as the sheets kept coming off, 2 lots of mattress cover, only needs one. Too many stairs to get to my room especially with my suitcases and bags, best to ask what we preferred.

Summerlands is based very close to the sea front which is where we wanted to be. Jane was very accommodating and called me when I sent a query across via booking.com. We really needed an earlier check in, she arrange for our room to be cleaned first and it was all ready when we got there. Very friendly. Bed was very comfy. We didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that but it smelled lovely.

There was not really a downside apart from we had a large vehicle, which meant we were driving around for a little while to find somewhere to park but this was not an issue and we expected this with it being so central.
