Hakuba Onsen Ryokan Shirouma-so

If you're looking for a modern ryokan experience in Hakuba, this is it. This is my second time staying at Shiroumaso, as the first one-nighter was great, so I went for an extra night this time. Staff is always open to help, kind and charming. The room is exceptionally clean, with a very nice view of the mountain. Breakfast is huge, although looks mislead you to believe otherwise. The onsen is perfect to relax after a day of fun on the mountain. The basement is equipped to store your winter sports gear and the ryokan itself is just 400 mts from the nearest slope/lift. Just get yourself familiar with ryokan and onsen etiquette and enjoy your stay at Shiroumaso.

From the start communication with the Ryokan was very easy, friendly and helpful, this only continued once we arrived. We felt very welcome and well taken care of. The staff showed us the whole Ryokan and its facilities on the way to our room. They showed us where to rent skiing equipment and the timings for the shuttle bus. There is even a discounted lift pass available (only for Hakuba- Happo One though!). The rooms were big with a really nice view onto the slope and mountains. We aren’t used to sleep on the floor but we slept like babies both nights that we spent there! The breakfast was amazing! So good! (We had to let them know the time we would be at breakfast the day before). The onsen was a great way to unwind after a long day on the slopes and to reduce muscle pain the next day 😁. The location is great just in the middle of everything! Walking distance to the Bus Terminal, Restaurants and the Lift/ Gondola. I will definitely come back and already recommended the Ryokan to a colleague! Arigato Gozaimasu to the whole team once again!
