I honestly don't know where to begin when describing how incredible this place was. We stayed in a room with a city view, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to that scenery and feeling the beautiful summer breeze flowing through the room was simply unforgettable. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, were David and Urszula. We have stayed in many luxury properties around the world, but we have never experienced this level of genuine hospitality and care. They went above and beyond in every possible way. The shared kitchen concept was another highlight. Instead of a traditional buffet, you can help yourself to breakfast. We actually preferred this much more—it felt relaxed, personal, and allowed us to enjoy breakfast in our room while taking in the stunning view. One of the sweetest moments happened when my 6 year old son lost a wiggly tooth during our stay. Urszula surprised him with a special tooth fairy envelope and a gift. It was such a thoughtful gesture that completely made his day. It's those small acts of kindness that make a place truly memorable. From the moment I made the reservation until the day we checked out, Urszula was always in touch, making sure everything was perfect. She even arranged a very late check-in for us without any hassle at all. The place is also very close to the attraction points, we just walked everywhere! This wasn't just a luxury stay—it was an experience filled with warmth, kindness, and genuine care. We left with wonderful memories and can't wait to return. No need to look for another place when you come to Rome!

I have stayed at hundreds of properties over the years, all over the world from simple huts in the alps to luxury 5 star resorts in Africa, and while many have been more luxurious, I have never written so positive of a review as I am writing now. In fact, I don't think I have ever given a perfect 10/10 score (including all experience scores) before on Booking.com but Residenza Gens Julia deserves it. It is a gem in the center of Rome where everything that you want to see and visit is within walking distance or even closer using either busses or trams that stop right outside your door. The place is clean, well managed, affordable and comfortable. The owner Urszula was communicative and helpful both before and throughout our stay. The attention to detail is excellent without being extravagant. Fore example despite being located right on a busy street, the double glazed and panelled windows drown out all light and noise from the street for a peaceful sleep. The room is large, towels are good quality, water pressure is excellent for showering, the bed is comfortable, the safe is easy to use. The breakfast is not 5 star hotel worthy and you make it yourself in the common kitchen area, but it's plentiful and you have unlimited access 24/7 to the majority of the foods, fruits, cakes, pancakes, breads, eggs, sausages, cheeses etc and associated breakfast drinks. What more do you need? Coffee? It's on tap and unlimited. And what a view over Largo di Torre Argentina, just excellent. I could go on about the easily accessible small Library of guide books or the Globe bar stocked with limoncello and other liquors but you'll just have to come and experience it for yourself.

We truly appreciated: the location (central with everything you need on your feet), the view from the room, the clean and comfortable room and bathroom, the all day snacks available, the hospitality of the couple, even the water pressure in the shower! We would definately stay there again and recommend it!
