Perfect short break for us. The hosts were kind and friendly.

Lovely peaceful location- 5 minutes drive from the town. It was clean , homely and well equipped. We were very comfortable. It was extremely pleasant to sit outside the accommodation in the evening.

Winkston is the perfect location when visiting Peebles and the surrounding area. The accommodation is spotless and only a 5 minute drive into Peebles which is a great place to visit. Ideal location for walkers and cyclists.

Comfortable, convenient location, friendly hosts, quiet environment and beautiful scenery. Close to the delightful town of Peebles.

Nowhere to hang clothes but difficult to see where a wardrobe could be placed. But it wasn't a problem for us.

Thoroughly recommended

We found this as a last minute booking to go to a family funeral. Perfect for what we needed. Peak holiday period so full price paid. Everything was ideal and I managed to make friends with the farmyard cat.

Very tranquil and relaxed environment, dawn chorus was amazing to hear. Host was very welcoming and took the time to talk.

Great spot, great value and superb hosts

Beautiful spot, and super helpful hosts. Cottage was small, but comfortable, with everything you would need. The location, a few minutes outside of Peebles, was great. Quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely self catering private accommodation in great location

Jan the hist was lovely they were even able to let us have the accommodation in morning not afternoon lovely self catering accommodation completely private with parking, great views and very close to peebles and central to everything could need. Had full kitchen so could cook own food and lovely sitting room. Lovely little touches like coffee and tea and Scottish tablet left for us

Winkstone cottage short break.

Very cute upstairs/downstairs farmhouse conversion with 2 single beds. Lovely open spaces to sit in. Secure bike storage. Sitting room upstairs with TV. Washing machine could be very useful. Very near the new cycle path being built at present. Easy walk into Peebles about 1.2 miles.

Parking on a wee slope. No complaints.

Great location. All necessary facilities were available.

Toilet flush handle was broken. It was only possible to get a good flush by removing the lid of the cistern and raying the lever by hand. Web site photographs may be accurate for the other two cottages but do not fairly represent the Bothy. It was a surprise to find the beds effectively in the kitchen.

sign to the property from the main road was hard to spot heading towards Peebles from Edinburgh. SIgn was easier to spot from the other direction

Loved my stay!

Nice, little cottage which had all the facilities I could need. Had the entire place to myself so didn't need to worry about sharing anything with other guests, and was given a key for the front door so I could come and go as needed. I was looking to stay in a quiet location and this place was perfect, but not so far away it takes ages to get supplies. Just a 5 minute drive to get to the nearest town which had a Tesco. Shout out to Jan who was amazing and so hospitable, she made me feel so comfortable. Also the beds were super comfy. I normally need a few nights to get used to a new bed but these ones were some of the most comfortable I've stayed in. Thanks for everything, would definitely stay again!
