If you can tune out noises, this is for you :)

If you can leave (and sleep) with all the noises (outside street, fridge, watter in the pipes in the walls) you will be ok with the room :)

Highly recommended for those who want to get a deeper feel for Genoa. A great experience.

This is an apartment where the early 20th-century interior has been preserved. All amenities follow from that — the shower and toilet are in a shared separate room, but it’s not a problem at all. The apartment is closely connected to the host’s family, which makes you feel like an honored guest — someone warmly welcomed, though rarely visiting relatives. Many thanks to Brunella, who was always in touch.

More of a gentle suggestion than a real downside: it was a bit surprising to see disposable plastic cups and spoons placed alongside a beautiful Bavarian tea set in the sitting room. It slightly detracts from the overall sense of hospitality.

Our first trip to Genova! We loved the city and our accomodations!

Bigo Guest house was a perfect place to stay upon our arrival in Genoa. The location and accommodations were perfect and there was even an elevator! Brunella was so helpful and kind. We loved getting to know her a bit.

Great stay at Bigo Guest House would come back again

Brunella was super helpful and friendly. She organised our arrival time and let us leave our bags after checkout. The hotel is on a great location and well equipped.

Can be slightly noisy at night but unavoidable due to location,. It shouldn't worry most but I used earplugs as a light sleeper and slept well.

A lovely stay but watch out for the mosquitos

-location was great -Italian lady was kind and helpful -bed was comfortable

-host spoken broken English and kept going between English and Italian so made it hard to understand some things -got bitten so much by mosquitos in the night -make sure to take cash for city tax as it’s hard and expensive to try take cash out in the main square

Beautifully traditional, but with all the facilities (and more - who else puts a bottle of brandy in the shared room?). Right in the centre, close to good local restaurants, very comfortable and the host is super-helpful. Had a wonderful time

It’s on the front above a main street, which of course can be noisy, but if you’re happy to have the windows shut, it’s fine

The host made us feel like we were staying with family in a very comfortable home.

This was in a beautiful old building with an ancient elevator that made you feel you were stepping back in time. The apartment had large windows, high ceilings, amazing old world decor. When you stepped out of this quiet and elegant building, you were in the middle of a vibrant and hectic city. Best of all, we could not have had a more gracious and helpful host to welcome us and make our stay a wonderful experience.

Great central location. Lovely room and accommodation. Owner was fantastic. Went out of our way to give us tips and even took us on a mini tour of the old city. Have nbever experienced such a wonderful host and accommodation. Will def return next time in Genoa. Grazie miele!!!! N

Great stay in heart of old town

Brunella was an amazing host that helped us so much with our stay. She posted tips for each day's activities and things like great local food and drink places. Room was lovely with a king sized comfy bed and wonderful mosaic floor and the bathroom was adequate. The host even left us some fresh bread for out 1st morning. The shared sitting room is lovely with coffee making facilities and glasses 🥂 to borrow. She let us leave our bags until time to go to the airport and waved us off.

Not much to add really, just lovely. I would prefer a kettle in my room.but it really wasn't a problem

We loved this place. Our host Brunella was lovely. She provided useful help and advice on where to eat and what to see. As a result we are in very local restaurants serving Ligurian dishes. As the Guest House is on the fifth floor the room was quiet for a busy city.

Great location. Just next to via San Lorenzo, in the middle of everything. Lady of the house was superfriendly. She didn´t spoke much english, but she was very polite, positive and had nice attitude. Bed was big and comfortable.

Historic room with great view and a coffee machine in lounge

Beautiful historic building, great view of the port and the...um, nightlife! Its an interesting area and our wonderful landlady steered us expertly to eat in the port opposite, I wonder if it was because certain streets are not for the faint hearted at night time at least. Comfortable elegant bed, nice bathroom accross the corridor, accommodating host.

Superb

The host went out if his way to make me feel welcome: his friend texted me to arrange everything for my arrival and was there to welcome me and show me all of the house. I had an enormous room, with lovely furniture and a huge bed and a very comfortable bathroom. She also gave me good tips on where to go and was there in the morning to send me on my way. This friendly guesthouse is highly recommended!!

This gorgeous place is a renovated old Genovese house in the middle of the centre. There is house at night, so this means you need to close the windows and use the aircon. This is really the only downside I can think off. Everything else arranged so well <3. I will definitely be back!

Ein historisches Gebäude am Porto Anitco. Äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin war sehr bemüht, dass ihre Gäste die Stadt als Genua-Fans verlassen. Was in meinem Fall vollständig gelungen ist.

Aussergewöhnlich

Unser kurzer Aufenthalt im Bigo Guesthouse bleibt uns in bester Erinnerung. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, liebevoll und zu einem alten Palazzo passend gestaltet und eingerichtet. Die Lage am Rand des alten Hafens und in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den kleinen mehr oder weniger belebten Gässchen des Hafenviertels ist perfekt für Erkundungstouren und fürs Einkehren in diversen Cafés und Trattorien. Auch die Nähe zur Metrostation San Giorgio ist ein grosser Vorteil. Vom Lärm der Stadt ist man dank den guten Fenstern gut abgeschirmt und man schläft ruhig. Die Gastgeberin hat uns schon vor der Anreise und auch während unserem Aufenthalt mit den notwendigen Informationen geholfen. Ihre liebenswürdige Art trägt viel dazu bei, dass der Aufenthalt in ihrem Guesthouse unvergesslich ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hier stimmt alles!

Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sie hat uns mit allen Informationen zu Genua und Umgebung versorgt, die wir brauchten. Die Lage ist perfekt, am Anfang der Altstadt und gegenüber des alten Hafens. Die Metrostation ist direkt vor dem Guest House. Das Schiff nach Portofino fährt auch direkt gegenüber vom alten Hafen ab, 5 min zu Fuß entfernt. Um die Ecke des Guest Houses ist ein wunderbares kleines Café, in dem man morgens frühstücken und den Blick in die Altstadt genießen kann. Diese Fußgängerstraße ist die Hauptstraße der Altstadt. Sehr praktisch! Mit der Ausstattung des Zimmers waren wir ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Vielen Dank nochmals an unsere Gastgeberin!

Nous avons adoré l'accueil et les conseils pour la visite de la ville. La literie très confortable. Un emplacement très central dans un bâtiment magnifique.

Extrêmement bien placé mais un peu bruyant le matin si l'on garde les fenêtres ouvertes.
