Uncomfortable experience but nice apartment

The flat itself was lovely, located in an ideal spot just by the main attractions and the flat was in a delightful old building with a rooftop balcony.

On the booking.com site, it did not state that the host would be living in the property with you. We arrived to the property absolutely delighted with the accommodation however this swiftly turned uncomfortable when we were told by the host that she would be staying in the next room. We were shown to our room however not told specific rules for example if you were able to use the kitchen or living room (shared spaces). We also noticed some signs around the property regarding additional costs for example if you use over a certain amount of electricity you would have to pay more and also your aircon must be switched off when leaving the flat etc. There were also a number of lights in the flat were motion censored so it felt as though you were being monitored during your stay. The experience was not what we had paid for as we expected the entire place to ourselves and felt intruded on when the host was there most of the time and also went into our room whilst we were not present.

Historic building - exquisite room - terrace

Beautiful room high above the small alleys. Very nice terrace with afternoon sun. Very clean and superior bathroom and shower. Very new and well closing windows. Well away from all the car traffic

It is a little awkward, that you have to cross the living room of the owner to get to your room. (without shoes) Feels like an invasion of her space. It is not possible to lock the room. Some sort of cameras are installed.

Stay at genovan palazzo

Great aparts in palazzo at the center of Genova. Great and frienfly owner, she meet us near parking, where we left our car (enough space for 4.6m suv) and drive us to her place. She suggested to us where to go for sightseing, as well as restraunts to have a dinner. She even looked after our dog while we went to the aquarium. Breakfast with view from top of one of old genovan palazzo is unforgattable. Excellent option to explore Genova.

Best location to stay in Genova.

This is a lovely rooftop apartment in a really great part of old Genova. Robi our host was really helpful with lots of great tips for places to eat and things to do. Breakfast on our private balcony overlooking the rooftops was especially magical. Really suitable for singles of couples who want to explore Genova on foot.

Two nights in Genoa Old Town

The location of the accommodation was excellent, especially since we liked going around the old town of Genoa. Roberta, the hostess, was very helpful and gave us excellent restaurant suggestions, for example. It was lovely to enjoy breakfast on the balcony.

Due to the shape of the room, the AC is in a slightly inconvenient place. The only thing this caused was that it took a while for the cool air to reach the main area of the room but this was just a minor thing.

The location was absolutely perfect! The room and bathroom were beautiful and spacious - but the best part of it is the gorgeous balcony. Especially perfect for early morning coffee and late-night dinner/drinks on a hot summer day. The host was really sweet and accommodating, and she helped us find our way around Genoa (beaches, etc.) I would recommend any of my friends to go there.

There is nothing I disliked about the place. Period. I was travelling with my sister, and we both liked cooking a bit ourselves during our trip (restaurant food for 16 days can be a bit much). This was our first rental where we didn't have our own kitchen, so we just had to adjust to that. So any coming guests should just know, that the kitchen is not a part of the rented apartment, but a part of the host's personal apartment. She was very sweet about it though and made room for us in the fridge etc.
