Charming place which takes you like a time machine to the glorious noble apartment of 18-19 centuries but with modern comfort and service. Our "room" had 2 bathrooms (both with showers) and cosisted of two spacious rooms (one for chilling and working and another one - huge bedroom). High ceiling was covered with frescos, the furniture was antique, yet comfortable and full of little things which creates special ambiance (add to that an antique decanter with grappa that helps after a long February walks ) Special greatest thanks to Angelo who did miracle organising Costiera Amalfitana private driver tour for us for the next day following our arrival (and this is without any pre-notice). If you did not consider it, it's worth 200% because (a) it's comfortable way to see 3 major towns Ravello, Amalfi and Positano; and (b) you receive VIP treatment.
Both bathrooms were lacking bidet which is a bit odd for Italian style comfort.

What a special place this is.  I remember thinking, "This might be the most beautiful room I've ever stayed in!"  The elaborate historic frescoes on the walls and ceiling...the charming view from the window of the beautiful building across the way, and the array of local shops and cafes below...  (We never had trouble with noise; good double-paned windows. Also, given that it was winter in Italy (which can be mighty cold in a stone building) the heating was fabulous!)   We had only booked one night, but liked it so much, we stayed three!  We went in December, so Salerno's famous artist-designed holiday lights. Amazing: unlike anywhere else.  We'd go again just to see them!  (My engineer husband loved the huge dinosaurs in the nearby city park.)  The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and atractions, including the city park and lovely waterfront. Salerno had simply been a stop on our trip elsewhere, bu it was an elegant yet casual gem in its own right.  (The area around its train station is surprisingly nice, by the way!  We enjoyed coffee at a nearby cafe while we waited.  A pretty historic shopping and eating district, also close to the water!  But the center of our enjoyment was Casa Santangelo Suites -- which will be our Salerno stay of choice in future!
For the benefit of folks who are older, like we are, I'll add a bit more about accessibility and neighborhood. The hotel is in a the Old Town/Historic district, so a zero traffic zone. Taxis have to drop you about a block away. The small historic streets are a bit bumpy and uneven, although, mercifully, in the flat part of town! With mobility issues or a lot of suitcases, it might be difficult, but it is not impossible. (And it's a safe, and charming street.) I think of the Casa Santangelo Suites as a true traveler's hotel: one of a kind, comfortable, relaxed and yet elegant in its essence.. The kind you don't find as often anymore. If it sounds like your kind of place (it was ours!), enjoy its charm, history and hopitality. Thank you again, Angelo, for being the greatest of hosts!

Amazing frescoes cover every part of the room. Great lighting too.
All would be perfect except for the noise from the street. We were there during Christmas and incredibly loud music was blasting day and night from 2 bars opposite the room. A lot of shouting too. No sound insulation, the terrace doors didn’t block any sound. Not really a terrace also. Just a railing.
