Salerno Experience hostel

Initially, I booked the hostel for two nights. Distance from train station Salerno - walking distance around 1.5-1.6 km (you can drag your bags too, no problem) Location - Very close to the beach. I personally found the location to be exceptional. Just remember that if you're coming from old town lanes, keep following the Google maps and remember how the door of the hostel looks from outside (see Google images - brown door) Floor - It is on the third floor so maybe you have a little problem in taking your luggage upstairs but honestly the stairs are not congested at all, they are airy, big and it would not be a problem at all. First impression - only advice is to not believe in your first impression. I am sure when you'll come here, you'll be little overwhelmed because you'll see so many small posters about don't vomit, fine for this and that etc and it's possible that you'll start searching for more properties as the same happened with me. Actual Case - In the initial hours of checking in, be calm and try to understand the place. It is one of the most wonderful hostel (ofcourse only if you don't want to spend a lot of money - you're reading the review because you don't want to spend hundreds in Salerno). The cleanliness of the place is top notch. Washrooms are very clean. So as the rooms. Two guys work really hard to clean it like they even remove beds to clean it from all sides. Location is superb. I personally found travellers visitng to be really cool and respectful. No shady area nearby (it may seem like that) but it's not true. The person at the counter (I think Bhabesh is his name) is a cool guy. It's quite a diverse hostel like I found a girl always studying in the common room. Honestly, it is even safer for girls. No complaints whatsoever specially in the price range that it fits. I went on to extend my stay from 2 nights to 7 nights. Never had a problem. Just don't judge it from the outside and not be hurry in judging. There is a kitchen and a sitting area as shown in pics. You can literally make your own food. I was eating outside but I saw ppl cooking regularly. Only issues - beds are little old and make some noise (in boys dorm) while moving when sleeping but I think it's with all old hostels. If your room is towards the road - sometimes people are loud outside, happened with me only once. Washing and drying is little expensive (10 euros for one lot) but one can get it done from outside Lights - yes if you check in late evening, by seeing the dim lights , you'll not like the place but in the day, it's bright and very peaceful. So lights can be little upsetting. Overall, the positives definitely outnumber and our power negatives. Just one advice again - don't be quick to judge the place (and that too during late evening check in). Use it's location and low price. In the same range, you won't get any better. Ciao !

Since it's the only hostel in Salerno you don't really have a choice. That being said it's quite nice. Kitchen, balcony, beds, showers all super good. The only thing that bothered me was the technolighting in the bathrooms(extreme flickering of neon light). Therefore nothing for people with epilepsy. Otherwise great place

The staffs are very friendly and rooms are good. It's very good for solo travelers.
