Great hostel (as long as you're ok with 'open' bunk beds!)

Lovely staff, nice hostel. I liked the breakfast.

I'm just not keen on bunk beds with no privacy / means to block out light - I knew what I was booking and it was my best option for my short stay, just not my favourite thing. All things weighed up, I'd still stay again though!

A great place to stay

Let's start with the wonderful staff who checked me in, sorry I do not have her name, but told her that they should make her the " Mayor of Kortrijk ". It is a large property with an industrial look. Very clean and comfortable. The 4 bed dorm was very large, beds were comfortable and sturdy. I had the cleanest, crispiest sheets given to me which you hardly see in a 4* hotel. 10 minutes walk to the heart of the town. An insider tip, there is free street parking 24h, just on the other side of the rail tracks and going under the small bridge, only a 5 minute walk from the hostel.

Surprisingly it does not have a real common area.

Spacious hostel in a decent location.

The room I had was quite large. In a six person shared room there was a table, and two of the beds did not have a bunk. If anything one feels like one could play football inside these rooms with very little problems. The breakfast is standard fare, but there is no way one will not find an empty table for oneself as the breakfast hall is probrably one of the largest hotel/hostel canteens I have come across. Unlike other hostels the shower is not on a 10 second timer (trust me I have come across this too often in my travels) which is nice. Despite not being located to close to the historic center of the city (still a reasonable walk) it was only 5 minute walk to the station which was important for my purposes, and 5 minutes in the perpendicular direction to the station, one will find restaurants and frituurs for diner.

The station is quite close to a rail line and the windows are not well insulated so one hears every train that passes by the hostel. I am also glad I brought my towels since the towel service is 15 euros which to me seems steep (not sure if that actually is). Also, not an issue for me but if you are looking for a hostel with a fun vibe with plenty of other guests to talk to, this isn't the place.

As a Hostel its worth the money

The Hostel is 10 mins walk from Kortrijk Train Station,, near to restaurants, City Shopping mall .. Cozy Place provides a Bunker Bed with mattress, Breakfast... Any person will enjoy this stay

Nice place

It was very clean and new, a modern building that felt like it might be purpose-built. Woman at the desk was polite, smiley and very friendly. She gave me an empty room, which was nice of her. It was a 6 people room and it was extremely spacious for a hostel. Bathroom and shower were separate. The bed was really comfortable. It was warm enough. Hostel was very quiet - didn't see anyone else

It is a very large hostel. With small hostels I think it is different. The limited check-in time (they close check-in at 9.30 and I don't think any staff are on site overnight) was a problem for me. I booked the hostel at 5pm for 1 night due to an unexpected problem with my travel plans, and I was very lucky to be able to find a train that meant I could arrive at 9pm. With any hostel, there should be a member of staff on site at all times.

Simple but perfect!

This hostel is very traditional. The facilities are simple but effective. The bedroom was spacious, and the toilet and shower were in separate cubicles. The locker requires a 1 euro coin to use. The breakfast was simple but included. There is lots of room in the communal areas, and a nice seating area outside. The staff were lovely.

I can’t blame the hostel for the snorer in my room! But the location is very close to the train track. So, I would recommend bringing some good quality earplugs.

What a nice place!

We simply loved the sustainability vibes and...everything else about this hostel! The rooms are large, clean, modern, bright, and warm; the toilet too was big and clean. The staff has been very kind and professional, ready to help us meet our tight schedule on the day...we made it! The breakfast is good, with bread, different types of cheese, ham, fruit, cereals, and coffee (or tea). We now have a new level of standards when visiting hostels, thank you!

Calm, comfortable and enjoyable

Wasn't too crowded when I visited, so it was very nice and calm. Everything in the room was great, it was quite spacious, internet was great (on phone wifi ~220Mbit/s download, ~28Mbit/s upload), breakfast was great!

Didn't bother me personally, but it was next to the train rails. So in the night or early morning you can hear trains passing somewhat loudly if a window is open.

breakfast was decent, in a nice light and spacious room. beautiful building reception friendly

- The plastic covers around the mattress, the hard sheets and the fact that it was a blanket instead of a duvet made sleeping not overly comfortable. And I did not realise you had to make your own bed... - a fixed shower head that does not come off the wall - you have to buy towels separately - no mat on the bathroom floor

I didn't like that I could not arrive between 1 and 4 pm There were issues with my train so I arrived the hostel at 1:15. I called the reception around 12:30 to notify them when I knew I couldn't make it before 1. They were not flexible enough to adjust. The lady just said I should come from 4pm. This meant waiting in the rain from 1:15 to 4pm. Thankfully I had a church where I could wait. I believe the hostel should be more flexible knowing that people come from far

The staff was friendly and sorted an issue out. The price x performance of the stay is fair enough and it includes a simple, but good breakfast.

Despite the fan, the rooms are generally hotter during the summertime.

Superb

Really a great spot; connecting bathrooms and loads of space in the rooms. Beds were decent. The breakfast buffet was really worth the extra cash. So much choice and held in a huge side room. There is a bar as well but as there was not many people about, I didn't check it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hostel is in a quiet part of town, so pefect to rest up.

Perfect for solo travelers

I loved the breakfast provided every morning and the early times at which it was available, since I like to wake up early. The atmosphere overall was perfect, the staff very kind and supportive, the bathroom as well as the condition of the room and bed upon arrival exceeded my expectations. The acceptance of being able to pay in cash at the property is a big bonus as well.

The placement of the outlets wasn't good. Outlets are only available for the beds on the bottom and it can be really annoying for someone who is laying on the top bed, especially after a long day coming back and wanting to lay down with your phone but not being able to due to the outlet being too far away from the bed and having no extension/long charger to charge your phone while you lay down.

The breakfast was really good, beds are comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. I very appreciate the communication. I asked them if I could check in a bit earlier and it was not a problem which I really appreciate! For 3 nights it was perfect, location is good. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. Thank you for making my stay nice, I will definitely be coming back.

I was missing was normal blanket cover (there were two mattress sheets instead). The floor in the room wasn't clean, a lot of dust, might be a problem for people with allergies. Also the shower makes the floor very wet so the bathroom looks bad after 1 shower, so splippers or flip flops are a good idea to bring with you :)
