Center Hill is ideally located in the heart of Sultanahmet, within around 10 minutes’ walk of many of Istanbul’s major attractions, including Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. We booked the Junior Suites as well as Superior Double and Twin rooms. All the rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained. The Junior Suites on the third floor had the added benefit of sea views. The Wi-Fi was a little weak in some areas of the rooms, but this was not a significant concern during our stay. We had breakfast included, which was served at the restaurant next door. The breakfast was adequate, but the selection was the same every day. This is perhaps something the hotel could consider improving, particularly for guests staying for more than two or three days, by introducing a little more variety. A special shout-out to the reception team, particularly Bedii and Aykut, who were consistently friendly, helpful and responsive to any queries or requests we had. Their service really added to our overall experience. The hotel does have an elevator, although it is quite small. However, this should not detract from the many positives of the property. The reception team arranges for luggage to be carried up and down during check-in and check-out, so the size of the lift was not really an issue for us. We also arranged our airport transfers through the hotel, and they organised these at a very competitive price, which was both convenient and hassle-free. Overall, Center Hill is a hotel worth considering if you are looking for a comfortable and conveniently located base for a short trip to Istanbul. Its excellent location, helpful staff and reasonable rates make it a good option for exploring the historic heart of the city.
