The attic room in the highest pub in the highest town in England! Heaven. Staying in a pub is special, you feel part of the town, and it's rare these days to find accommodation of this type. This pub was very special -- they welcomed us with open arms. Nothing pretentious, just a nice comfy room with amazing views, & great food. The lovely new owners are gradually modernising it throughout, but meanwhile it's wonderful just as it is.
we'd have liked two armchairs rather than one. Am sure they'd have provided one if we'd bothered to ask!

The room was quiet and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and everyone was friendly and cheerful.

Price, comfortable bed, good TV with streaming. Breakfast.
Room was a bit tired but good for the price, pub didn't do food and no real ales. However there were other places nearby.
