Dark, dingy, dirty - I wouldn't do it again

We enjoyed the view and the bed was comfortable.

I'll flag in advance that it won't be a surprise to me at all if the owner attacks me for saying this. The property is in a very precarious position. Driving there really isn't recommended, unless you're confident on dicey mountain roads (and I mean really confident). One way roads alot of the time. Seriously precarious. Location wise. It is quite far from town. You'd really struggle to walk to either town (plus you need a walking pass) - I'm pretty fit and I wouldn't have done it. If you're driving, you need to pay the parking fees (if there are spots available). It was around 20 euro per day in low season. The parking at the property is non-existent. You're either parking in the tiny space that's in the photos (that wouldn't fit a Fiat 500) or on the road. The road itself is very thin and winding, so the chance of your car getting side swiped is considerable. They also want you to park where the bus stop is. Getting bags from the car to the house is a nightmare. If you have bags with wheels you'll be carrying them down slippery stairs, along the road (again, precarious), and through a very rough path through the vineyard. The property itself was very average and in a bad state of repair - dark and a bit dingy, and not really reflective of the photos (some good photography work has been done here). It was quite dirty during our stay (see photos), with lots of mould in the bathroom and dirt on the walls. The outside was not well maintained at all, everything was mouldy or rusting (incl. The BBQ and outdoor setting). There was also just stuff everywhere that just looked really untidy (see photos). If you're looking to use the kitchen, good luck. The pots and pans were all formerly non-stick, but have been so used that they're down to the base metal. Beyond getting Teflon in your food, you couldn't cook more than a boiled egg in these. We had booked for three nights and ended up leaving after one.

Great stay at Cà du Venuto 2!

This place is great! It has all the needful inside. For a family with 2 kids it is perfect. The location is amazing: in the hilltop of Vernazza, offering stunning views in the middle of the mountains to the sea. Obviously, you need to like remote location as you have to drive through winding roads to reach the house but honestly that was a positive side for us as it is very calm. It is also well located to visit the Cinque Terre as you can easily drive to the villages or the cities nearby. Last but not least : the hosts are really nice and helpful. We were warmly welcome and the communication is easy. We enjoyed it and we highly recommend it!

Exceptional

I loved the location: very quiet but not too far from Vernazza. Its a 45 minute walk but the excellent local bus service will get you there in 10 minutes. I'd also recommend that you take the longer route at least once for the spectacular views. The house is clean and well-equipped with lovely outside seating areas. The owner was very helpful.

Other reviewers have complained about getting from the road to the house but its a very short path and I though it was absolutely now problem.

Exceptional

The location of the house is good, in a peaceful place in a vineyard above Vernazza. The wiew over the hills of Cinque Terre was incredible. The house had everything we needed for a 3-day stay and the hosts were very helpful in advising us about the area. We came to Vernazza by train and then used a bus to get to the house. We used the days to explore the five towns of Cinque Terra and some of the trails between them and it was great to be able to start the walk at the house and walk down the hill to Vernazza and Corniglia

Beautiful location with excellent atmosphere.

The house has a very nice style and atmosphere and is located in the middle of a small vineyard, with a stunning view over the hills of Cinque Terre.

Ein schöner Ort, um die Landschaft zu genießen und dem Touristentrubel zu entfliehen

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr schönen, ruhigen Gegend oberhalb von Vernazza in einem Weinberg. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Berge und Küstenregion bis hin zu Monterosso al Mare. Die Zimmer sind rustikal mit ländlichem Charme eingerichtet.

Wenn es überhaupt als Manko anzusehen ist: Man braucht das Auto, um von der Unterkunft nach Vernazza zu gelangen. Zu Fuß ist es zu weit und wäre für uns zu anstrengend. Man läuft ca 1Stunde ziemlich steil an der Straße entlang nach unten (bzw. wieder hinauf). Die anfallenden Parkplatzgebühren betragen 2,50€ pro Stunde bzw. 20€ pro Tag.

Tolles außergewöhnliches Haus mit atemberaubenden Blick!!

Die Lage war ausserordentlich schön mitten im Weinberg mit Blick auf Cinque Terre und das Meer! Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt mit unseren beiden Söhnen! Ein wirkliches Juwel!

Die Ausstattung von Töpfe und Pfannen könnte erneuert werden die sind nicht mehr die neuesten! Der Parkplatz ist sehr eng an der Straße wir haben mit unserem Skoda Octavia haben wir gerade so rein gepasst!

Bezauberndes Steinhäuschen in toller Lage mit traumhaftem Weitblick.

Die Lage ist traumhaft, mitten im Weinberg. Der Blick auf Berge und Küste ist wunderschön. Bezauberndes Steinhäuschen mit guter Ausstattung, und ausreichendem Platz. Auf der großen Terrasse gibt es einen gemütlicher Essplatz im Halbschatten und eine riesige Paletten-Liege zum Chillen. Außerdem eine kleine Terrasse mit Morgensonne.

Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.

Très au calme, lieu authentique au milieu des vignes avec une belle vue mer. Petits cadeaux accueil très appréciés. Ambiance très zen.

Parking sur la route et accès par un petit chemin donc ps de grosses valises à prévoir . Lits moyennement confortables.

Bezaubernde Lage mit grandiosem Blick. Ein wunderschönes Häuschen in Alleinlage im Grünen. Alles hübsch ausgestattet. Freundliche Kommunikation. Idyllisch und besonders. Ein ganz herrliches Fleckchen Erde. Wir waren begeistert und haben uns wie im Paradies gefühlt.
